Hm... well, it sounds good (apart from hints of the Imperial March theme, which feel out of place), but again, do you want something so militaristic?  This is the Chosen One who JUST fell to the Dark Side... shouldn't it be sadder?

He fell and he is marching with a bunch of troops it kind of makes sense to have it militaristic.

He fell and the entire galaxy just lost its greatest hero, who is now marching to kill all those who loved him since he was a child.  It should be tragic.

I don't think even the an editor of The Cutter or Bob or Ady's skills could pull of PT Anakin being the Galaxy's greatest hero but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

The best I can see us hoping for is a slightly annoying but ultimately like-able Jedi who gets yanked off the rails.

In collaboration with Vaderios, we've got some ideas about how to give the sensation that both anakin and obiwan are great figures in the clone wars. PM'ed them to The Cutter, Bob, and Ady casually, however any improvement would be welcome. I could PM them to you if you want, to polish them a little more ;). Don't get me wrong, I don't post it here just because it's an atrociously long text

You could post them in the Radical Prequel Redux Thread, as that's full of really long posts and would be of possible use to anyone doing an edit.

OK, I already posted it on the other thread. When I sent this to Ady, the forum cutted my private message because it was too long, so I had to send it to Cutter in 3 parts. I sticked it into a large post in Radical Redux, but it doesn't allow me to see my post, nor what anyone has posted after the user "conilius", so someone please tell me wether the message has been cutted or no.

Its structure it's 3 quotes of myself (the three PMs to Cutter) and then a little text, is that what has been uploaded??

It's there. Just read it. Some very good ideas in there. I especially like the idea of giving Windu some depth by having him dissent from the war effort.

Well, that work I don't know how possible is, but it involves mainly AOTC (the same goes for ObiWan knowing about Anakin's marriage, it's a job that has to be done in AOTC to get a better ROTS).

The idea is to tweak the last scene we have of Yoda, Windu and ObiWan to change its meaning, and put in that scene Windu's line "we're keepers of the peace, not soldiers"... so that by the end of AOTC you leave that possibility in the air.

And when you get to ROTS, it's established in the scroll.

"War! (Blah blah blah). Some Jedi Knights have decided to join the war"

And then you put Anakin's line (I'm glad that you chose to serve) in some part of the battle above Coruscant.

I think, that being mainly audio edits, it's easier to do than if it involved FX shots or so.

I think that the main aim of this isn't giving more depth to Windu, but putting Anakin, ObiWan, and Yoda, as characters who distinguish from the rest in their decissions too. If Windu gains depth with this, excellent of course; but the point is to reinforce 4 characters along the movie, or the PT: Anakin, Palpatine, Padmé and ObiWan (and utterly, Yoda)

I love the " I'm glad u choose to serve" idea... I will see now what I can do.

Loving the Vader part, especially the "leave us", since it shows him taking 'over' the part of Sidious (since he first said it to Anakin at the concert thingy).

But I'm not so sure about Qui-gon tbh; It kinda makes Yoda look inferior to him, even though he isn't. I know it's a good exposition for the audience, but am not sure this works character-wise.  (ps, would you consider a video of you putting your score together? I suspect you have John Williams on a chain though...)

Hm......... well Yoda does tell Qui-Gon in the cut scene that he is now Qui-Gon's "student", so being lesser isn't an issue.  If anything, you should find a clip from somewhere of Qui-Gon saying "of the Force" (shouldn't be too hard),  so that it'd be "This planet is both an amplifier and a magnet of the Force".  Then it'd be less confusing.  Also, don't have "You must train Skywalker here" be after a fade out, it's awkward.  Cut the fade to black and throw in another scenic shot of Dagobah, maybe from Empire.

Regarding the dialogue additions to the Star Destroyer scene... I think that the scene worked brilliantly without dialogue.  It feels more forced with it.  I like the idea of "Obi-Wan will die", just not there.

It would make better sense if you could get some help making new footage of the Tantive landed on Dagobah and Yoda outside sensing Qui-Gon telling him this.

The escape pod in conjunction with the voice doesn't really work.

Having Luke born on Dagobah, if it has those powers, would really sell the idea.

I had the same idea but I didn't find a clean shot of Dagobah (without xwing)

I think this is great.

As unlikely as it is, I'm still holding out hope that Liam Neeson filmed scenes for the blu ray.  Take any chance you can to get his guidance to Yoda. 

And LOL, Tarkin got so owned by Vader for a change.  I think Vader's lines are a bit too loud compared to the Emperor.  Maybe you could insert the obligatory "master" after "Obi Wan will die."  Great work as always.

Yes, the idea is really good, but it need someone with high skills (visual effects) or it will looks fake, and it's hard to find....

Personally I thought the Dagobah clip was great. It doesn't bother me that Qui-Gon is now instructing Yoda... I mean, it makes sense seeing as he is one with the force now. Not absurd at all. I think it's great!

You could replace it with Palpatine saying "Commander, leave us".

Moff Jerjerrod was referred to as Commander in ROTJ and it's possible that Tarkin has reached that rank by this point and it avoids the problem of Tarkin being advanced to being seemingly Vader's equal by ANH.
