Wow Angel you got the bionic eye... is that glow thing something very repetitive along the scene?

Wait, I'm confused. Can someone elaborate why ady would swap blades?
The 2004 shot doesn't look wrong to me, or am I really that blind?

Try to think about how Vader would have to be holding his sabre for the 2004 version to make sense.
Can someone explain the glow thing? Is it just the missing sabre blade?

(note on the image. I placed the marker randomly. The red glow appears in both versions.)
It mostly appears when an optical effect takes place. in our case the lightsaber.
Iys funny that the shot gets better without it but its a lot of easier adding it in one frame rather trying to eliminate it from the whole sequence.

It was clearly on a 'Galactic Bounty Hunter Visit A Crime Boss Holiday' that Luke and Co chose to rescue Han.
(LOL) someone should make a card for that...
Buuut to keep it on subject, is there any way to add some slight finger curling on Bossk (maybe his toe doing the JURASSIC PARK Raptor toe tap... or at least curl a bit more around the edge of the deck)? I don't have a problem with Bossk's arm length (like mentioned earlier: Alien)... it's just that they are pretty stiff the entire time we see him. Hell, notice that Bossk has to hold his gun with the crook of his elbow! Maybe have his left hand fingers closed/curled around the front handle.
Compare this:

BTW, here is the JEDI appearance confirmation:
And is it just me, or does Bossk look like Godzilla?

Now I see it, thanks timdiggerm. Didn't realise Luke's arm got obscured in Vader's figure.

Being an avid fan myself, I can say it's just you. =P
I never knew Bossk had avid fans!
I meant Godzilla, but I'm one of those too. =P
I did try adding some more movement to Bossk, but it didn't look too good so i dropped the idea.
As for the "red mist" it is impossible to see in motion because it is one frame before a shot change. It can only be seen going frame by frame. You could notice the saber because of the brightness change but not the rotoscoping bleed on the left.
The motion blur on the final frame of that falcon shot has me stumped though. I have checked the video in the timeline and the motion blur is there, but not on the video i posted. But this is impossible as it was composited in After effects then imported into Vegas. So if it is on the timeline in Vegas it should have been in the video. But i did render that video before Dad started his treatment so i may have had the unfinished version there at that point, i just don't know.
Anyway i just don't give a shit about this edit at the moment. I'm trying to save my dads house from being sold . I can't get a mortgage yet and have offered to pay my brother monthly to buy out his half of the house until we can get the mortgage to cover the rest, it looks like he just wants to sell the house. That house was our family home and there are too many memories of Mum & Dad for me to let it go, but he just doesn't seem to care. I even tried to get a loan for a few thousand that would probably persuade him to let me buy out his half, but we were refused that too . Seems like our house is blacklisted because of a bad loan that had nothing to do with us. But please don't mention anything about what i have said on facebook or anywhere else because it will only make matters worse.
With all this and the fact that our house is a poison pit thanks to black mold and severe damp, which is ruining all our possessions, and we are going to lose this house because it's what is making my health worse, but if he sells the house we still won't have enough money to even but a small place and will have to use that money to rent somewhere until they sort out the house, which is going to take months. The last thing Mum and dad would have wanted was for one of us to be a lot worse off after they left us the house than what we were when they were alive.
I'm thinking of selling off my whole Star Wars collection, but i doubt that would raise enough money in enough time, plus i promised the whole collection to my kids when i die.
Get yourself over to your local CAB they may have a list of solicitors who would give you a free consultation because I'm pretty sure under probate law neither side of a joint bequest can sell without the consent of the the other side.
Unless the car was left directly to your brother it's not his alone either.
You could take out a new mortgage on your dad's house to pay off your brother's half and rent out your current home, either directly, via an agent or via the local authority which could be used to pay off the new mortgage.
A friend of mine did something similar in a similar situation.
I'd get that black-listing looked into too because it's a common problem south of the border but it can be sorted out.
Our family is blessed by never having a bean to our name to worry about at times like this.
When you are trying to cope with grief having to handle money squabbles too adds indignity to the pain.
Usually all these items would be audited by the Inland Revenue so he has no business selling anything of your Father's until a tax audit has been concluded anyway.

Having spoke to a solicitor he can force the sale of the house if i do not have the funds to buy out his half of the house. Our flat is a council flat (well housing accosiation now) so it is against the law for us to rent it out. Because our flat is blacklisted our credit rating is shot to hell so they won't lend us the money. We're stuck in a hole here.
Sorry I misunderstood your situation, I was under the impression you owned your current home but couldn't raise funds on it because of the blacklisting (but that should be seen to as soon as possible).
You could still approach your brother with the idea of mortgaging your father's home and then paying off your brother with the raised funds but that would be subject to you being able to get the mortgage.
If the blacklisting is associated with your address (creating the credit identity error) it shouldn't come into play on a joint re-mortgage of your father's house.
He sounds like the sort of person who would want to get as much money as possible and as quickly as possible.
If you have current ownership of half the house a re-mortgage to could raise half the current estimated value of the house.
Selling the house would cost more and take more time so that might be a good angle to sell the idea to him and allow yourselves to get on with the more important process of coping with your grief without getting into further family arguments.
I hope things work out! I know in the case of my grandmother's death last May, we went through some financial misery for a while, but it has worked out, basically. Thought we'd have trouble with my uncle and his greedy girlfriend, but nothing happened. I hope things can stay civil with your family, too.

is it me or is Vader's blade at an odd angle here should it not be a bit more horizontal?

No. THe blade has the right position (you can check it in the one frame that doesnt have the roto on it.
The illusion that it looks in an odd angle is because vader's lightsaber emitter is angled. since the rotoed blade doesnt start from the angled point it looks odd but not a problem :)
Here you can see what i mean:
Also between the shots there are some continuity errors.
Vader's position changes even its the same camera angle
the lights are off and the reflection of the lights are changed.
I believe moving the first shot of vader to the center is a good choice because he isnt interacts so much with the BG and not having problems with the smoke.
(Blame the maker, imageshack messed with my pictures so sorry for the quality)

Thanks A, that makes more sense now
Bingowings said: Do you want to see the project finished as a playable film or a flick book?
If that position change directly followed the first shot then i would be all for changing it, but there is the shot of the switch flipping then the shot of Luke jumping out. He could have easily moved to the new position during these shots

But maybe the lights turn off while the carbon freezer is running?

Wow...he might as well not be there at all. Theres actually another of his species in Jabba's den at one point...no real need to use the actual character of Bossk......especially since he's a bounty hunter, and basically does nothing during a scene in the film when a bounty hunter would most likely be at his/her best. Hell even Fett turns and watches R2 roll by, suspecting something is up, but then Lucas just kills him off in the worst way possible....talk about a waste of good characters

You obviously still have family stuff to deal with. Get that under control first. Work on the edit now and then when you need a break from dealing with that. Use it as a way to clear your mind for a couple of hours every now and then - a temporary respite from the family issues.
And don't sell your whole collection. Pick and choose the stuff you can part with, or just sacrifice the few big ticket items to get yourself in better financial shape. If you unload it all, you'll regret it later when times are better.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
