Mortal Kombat Legacy Fanedit (Released)

i was working on the hellraiser bloodline fanedit a while ago,

but my mate who was finishing the fx on the workprint parts, lost his misses in a car accident, so i felt that that can go on hold till he gets over it (if he ever does)😦, it was his pet project.

so i have been working on a fanedit of mortal kombat legacy,

i have cut a lot out and rearranged the story’s, (lots of the cheese is being cut out),

i am thinking of changing the name to mortal kombat beginning, or weather

to leave it (legacy) so far i am happy with how it is coming out,

i cut lots out of episode 3, and lots of bits and peaces out of the fist 2 episodes

and made it more on the Acton and a lot less Sonya blade,

i left raiden’s story the way it is as it worked better how it is,

katana and maleenas storys were joined and little bits cut out,

i am working on scorpions story now

i am looking forward to putting it online so all can see,

any opinions or suggestions would be much appreciated

i have added an image of the character that the story is about at the start of each story (taken from the game), but dont know if it works.

would like to know other peoples opinions on the matter,

and i just finished mixing scorpions part 1 & 2 together it come out really good,

Only a matter of time i suppose. I thought about doing something similar but my take would just basically be a padded out version of the Rebirth short - and maintaining that 'real world' style. And in a more chronological order.

I would say just call it Mortal Kombat - or maybe something like  Mortal Kombat Prologue - since it's set before the meat of the MK storyline. I wouldn't keep the legacy tagline.

For now I'm waiting for the finale and any word on whether there'll be a 2nd season before I make any decisions.

in terms of what works, it depends on what sort of style you're going for really...

I'm not clear on this - are you keeping it in segments or one flowing piece?

i like the mortal kombat prologue name, i never liked the legacy name as it is a start and nothing else, i will give a cut list soon, i feel they should have kept it like the rebith short as that kicked ass, but that is what happens when u give it to a studio. thank u for your reply

I've never seen or heard of Legacy or Rebirth until now, don't really keep up on web-only stuff much. Anyway, it seems really cool.

Something I think would be cool, but I know won't happen is to somehow make this tie into and be a sequel to the series Mortal Kombat Konquest which ended on a cliffhanger when it was cancelled. I know probably no one liked that show, but I did anyway.

That's sounds cool. Konquest starred a decendant of Liu Kang (I think?) named Kung Lao (but not THAT Kung Lao, I think?) around 500 years before the first MK tournament.

i finished the dvd cover in nero dvd maker, but dont know haw to put it up to show you guys

 just did an opening credit sequence and used the title song from mortal kombat movie, and used pics from the games i like how it looks i hope other people do to.

i just saw the cyrax and sektor episode and it rocked,

So the Sektor / Cyrax stuff happens before Kano gets his ass kicked by Jax. - Was that the same Doc that patched up Kano? haven't had a chance to check.

Maybe the ep2 stuff could be intercut with the cyber initiative stuff?

I was just thinking that the Rebirth take on Johnny Cage and Baraka was a lot more interesting so maybe the Interviews and stuff from ep 4[?] could be reworked into some sort of Johnny Cage tribute? - since we was killed off in Rebirth. His meeting with Shang Tsung never really led anywhere in the series proper anyway.

I'd advise against using the cheesy synth music from the films just out of personal taste.

In the end do as you wish - I'll probably have a go at Rebirth expanded style fanedit at some point and there's no need for us to all be on the same page. Have fun with it.

RE: MK Conquest [also sometimes called Konquest, i believe] - while kinda cheesy I've found it to be much more enjoyable than the films. I've only seen about 5 episodes.

yeah the johnny cage and baraka fight kicked ass, that alone was better than the legacy ep 3, that is a great idea i will try to add it as it takes place after legacy, but cant promiseanything, but if i am taking what u are doing with your one i wont do it,

yes the cyrax episode is based before the first episode, and yes that is the same doctor, its a good episode, i might keep the song as credit music as i only just got it right, and that music always gets me worked up,

i do wont to see konquest as i loved the 1st movie (hated the 2nd), and if the tv show is better then im looking forward to it, but have herd that each country has differnt cuts and as im in austeralia i hope the one here is a good one,

and will they ever make a 3rd movie mabie make rebirth in to a film cos webesodes wont give it room to breath or as uncut as it should be.

and the legacy baraka look crap (so fake looking) they should have made him look just like the rebirth one.

but i heard that was warners fault as they took over production of that episode

i have just finished the work print, and am going to go to give it the final watch before i make last minute edits, and am going to let someone else look at it because they had some really good ideas to add to it, so anytime soon it will be uploaded to the fanedit site and hope to get some good reviews,
