Upload them somewhere (imageshack, photobucket, whatever...), then add the links here.

I don't want to join any of those sites.

you don't have to join to host images on imageshack...  But joining is free and it allows you to do things like set up albums and make pictures private and such... (probably the most important reason for joining whichever image hosting site you use is the ability to keep track of the pics you've uploaded & being able to find them again easily)

Vintage Falcon with 25th Anniversary Han & Chewie.

Han & Chewie.

Vintage Jabba with lame POTF2 figs.

If you are really nerdy like me, you might be able to pick out the SW pieces in WALL·E's junk pile!

I finally finished redoing the "manroom" as we call it. Well, I should say, my wife & I finished, as she painted the room, helped shop for & assemble furniture, and came up with the initial idea for the layout of the room.  I'm really happy with it & love the shelving system we found (thanks Ikea!).  You might notice a pic or two I took before I hung my autograph collection in there.  Also, this is obviously more than just Star Wars, but also includes lots of Godzilla and Indiana Jones, as well as some other odds 'n ends.

Good grief! That's alot of toys!

Do you play with any of them?

Call me crazy, but I'd have that saber pointing the other direction, just to be safe. :p

I assume you're referencing the possibility of the door swinging into it?  Luckily, doorstops work great at doing just that, & the door can't swing far enough to actually touch it...  ;)

And no, I don't play with them.  Well, not the way a little kid would at least...  I do take them down & re-pose/rearrange them periodically.  & who can't resist transforming a transformer on occasion?  And it's always fun to scare the cat with spring-loaded missle firing action....

I dunno, I don't see a doorstop as a guarantee. You should see the one at the office. One good push on the door crushed it and now the door hits the wall. I wouldn't take any chances with stuff like that. *shrug*

Wow, I'm totally green with envy.

After that, I'm almost reluctant to post this but here is my new setup :-)

No reason to be reluctant.  Every collection starts somewhere.  Mine's been ongoing continuously for decades (ok, basically since I was old enough to play with action figures).  And I know many would consider my collection quite excessive & want nothing to do with it (which is somewhat ironic considering that's exactly how I feel when I see some other peoples' collections that are significantly larger than mine, or just really disorganized...).  And I like how you have one shelf for the heroes & one for the villains.

This is a great thread! I wish I could share some of my collection with you guys, but I had to box it all up to keep it safe from my three-year-old!

I've been collecting on and off since 1978 when the fist toys came out.

I don't have much displayed, but this thread makes me want to make at least a small shelf. A little like Harmy, I have various versions of the SW films in VHS, LD and DVD. To me I really want the various releases of the films since they are what started it all. Although, I still have all the SW toys from my childhood - 77 until now. But really, I only have a few of the newer figures, mostly from the late 90's. But I think the old figures are still my favorite of my old toy collection.

wow- you guys all have awesome collections! (and doubleofive, if you're only missing R2 from the original film, couldn't you get it on ebay? I see a few on there right now) I was 13 when SW was released, and although I had all the trading cards, I don't remember ever having any figures unfortunately. I am tempted now to try to complete a collection (well maybe just the original SW, not the empire or return movies) although I see how valuable they've become. I suppose a few at a time, over time, will make it "do-able"!

So I’ve begun testing the waters of 6 inch (1/12 scale) action figures over the last year. It’s a fun scale that can capture really good detail that sometimes rivals the 1/6 (12 inch) figures, but at at fraction of the cost and required shelf space. Plus, the modern 6 inch figures tend to be some of the best articulated figures ever made in the history of toys.

Anyway, I’ve got a few of the Hasbro Black series. I’ve been very selective, but it was the 40th Anniversary Darth Vader that sucked me in. It is a total home run and arguably one of the best Darth Vader figures ever made. I’ve also got a bandai 1/12 Stormtrooper model that is fantastic, but I haven’t had time to build it yet… I eventually want to get at least a second Stormtrooper and a bandai Death trooper kit to complement the Hasbro death trooper. Finally, I’ve got the Medicom Mafex ROTJ Boba Fett. It’s another total home run. One of the coolest ection figures I’ve ever owned. The obsessive nerd in me desperately wants to get the mafex ESB Fett as well now. I’ve also been getting some of the mafex DC superheroes like Batman and Wonder Woman and they are just too cool.

I’m building a Bandai 1/12 Stormtrooper. It’s a spectacular kit. I’ve still got some very small weathering to do (im going for the “polished from a distance; but hand-made, roughed up, chipped, and scuffed upon close inspection” look from ANH), but otherwise I finished the helmet tonight. Very happy with how he’s turned out.

In front of a couple full size helmets (the model helmet is maybe an inch tall. Maybe.)

With the guys he’ll accompany on the shelf once the rest of his body is done.

I sold a bunch of things from my collection over the past year to fund this guy. Hot Toys 1/6 “The Empire Strikes Back” Darth Vader. He does not disappoint! Wish my pictures were as good as some of the other guys on the collector forums, but even with my crappy photos I think you can an idea how awesome he is.

It took around nine months (I think?), but I finally finished my bandai Stormtrooper model. The engineering on this guy is amazing. The aticulation is some of the best I’ve ever seen on a 6 inch action figure. The build was very easy thanks to the high quality of the kit, but painting him took forever. He was molded in an appropriately glossy white but it was too cool/blueish for my taste and still had a very toy-like plastic look, so I painted the whole thing by hand. And painting this much gloss white acrylic with brushes turned out to be much more challenging than I imagined. But I finally finished him yesterday! I used a lot of reference photos and screenshots to try and replicate the actual wear and tear seen on screen in SW’77. I’m very pleased with how he came out. I wish I had a better camera than my phone and iPad though.
