Now how would I do that?

There have been plenty of Senate shots in the PT.

All you (or your 'people') would have to do would be to block out the central podium and make space for a 'holographic projection' of the film footage.

Sort of like this old mockup of the dissolution of the Senate but with duel footage instead.

The 'orchestra pit' could be at the foot of the where the podium would be be so what you would do there would take Boston Pops footage and matte in some senate pods in the blurred in the background.

I don't want to make too much work for "my people."  I'd like most of this to be stuff I can do so I'm not asking for too much.

Plus, I'm not really feeling that idea.  I like how the duel plays right now as it is.

Also, I've been trying to blend the audio a little better, it's a bit of an improvement but I don't think I have a great ear for it.

Here's a few random ideas. Forgive me if they've been mentioned and feel free to hate them (-:

1. Have Obi-Wan use the force to go back in time to save Qui-Gon, while this music plays. Then, show that Qui-Gon just died again.
2. Have this music play whenever the battle droids appear.
3. Add in a few Terminators among the Battle Droids.
4. Have "The Power of Love" play when Anakin meets Padme.
5. Have "If You Leave" or "Don't You Forget About Me" play when Anakin says goodbye to Padme since he's joining the Jedi Order.
6. Use some Samuel Jackson lines from other movies. Kinda like this guy did for Episode III.
7. Throw in some Indiana Jones music during the Pod Race.

What can I say? I'm stuck in the 80's.

3. Nah.  Too elaborate on what I said a bit ago, if I'm going to ask someone to do FX for me, it needs to be really funny (like the Obi overshoot clip).
4. That's a bit creepy in this movie....so maybe! :p

Ok, dude! I just had an idea!

How about a Rocky type of montage after Qui-Gon gets stabbed? A la Rocky IV - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwPb7g_BlXQ - you know, with flash-backs and Darth Maul images? Have it right before Obi Wan confronts Darth Maul.

I mean, you can't go wrong with an 80's cheese in a Star Wars Prequel movie... right?

And how about finishing the movie with "We Fight For Love"? Have Obi-Wan's look at Qui-Gon's body -

Another idea I had was using Zack Wylde's "Farewell Ballad" in the scene where Qui-Gon dies in Obi's hands - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYMupc564zE . I mean, that's the kind of song you would expect to hear in an old school Buddy Cop movie after partner's death. Again - it would give the scene a little bit of that 80's cheese.

But I do, however, understand that it's arguably the manliest guitar solo of all time - so it might not fit in well...

And now the last of my ideas -

You know how there are these screens that they use to communicate with each other? How about turning one of them into a TV and have Captain Freedom's Workout Commercial playing  - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LazUZz3K6IY . I have to admit that I can't think of a scene where you could put this in, but maybe this gives you other ideas...

With a bit of work you could probably squeeze a "your mother" gag into the Jedi Audition scene.

haha! Yes please. I like the idea of adding Sam Jackson lines (in that youtube clip, when they go to arrest Palpatine and he says "we should have shotguns for this kind of deal" I laughed for about 20 minutes.) but I think the idea of adding bleeps into his existing lines might be even funnier, if placed well. Or maybe a combination of the two.

That would be a truly hilarious BLEEP, Frink.

I was looking at the video for the Men Without Hats song Safety Dance and it would merge quite well with the celebration parade at the end... it would be a funny juxtaposition.

Bob sent me video for the Obi Jump.  If I have time tonight I'll add it in and reupload the full sequence to youtube.  I also changed the music loop in a few spots to remove some of the obvious sound effects that don't belong.  Unfortunately now there are a few missing sound effects instead, but it's much less glaring IMO.
