And yes I have those old docs I am 27 years old not 15.
Being a 15 year old myself, I'm curious to see if any one could tell me the names of some of these old documentaries so I can see if they are online.
The Making of Star Wars
SP-FX - The making of the Empire Strikes Back
From Star Wars to Jedi: Making of a Saga
Classic creatures:Return of the Jedi

Ah, thank you very much sir!
kenkraly2007 said:. Those original theatrical cuts are a part of film history. However if only the special edition's of the OT are release on blu-ray alongside the prequel films I have no problem with that
Then you're part of the problem. Much like this guy:
Quit being part of the fuckin' problem Dwayne!

I agree with everyone here even though I sometimes don't and I think It is important to preserved the original theatrical cuts of the original star wars trilogy from 77-83 for histrionical reasons.
As if there hasn't been enough 'histrionics' over them... ;)
Now I realise English may not be your first language ken, but I love that you agree with everyone here even though you sometimes don't...
Ken just doesn't seem to get the "lair" thing, does he:
You keep saying that we call Lucas a "lair" but we have no reason to call Lucas "a place where a wild animal lives, often underground and hidden, or a place where a person hides," which is a dictionary definiton of the word "lair."
lair noun
/le?r/
/ler/ [C usually singular]
the thieves' lair
Sorry to spoil the fun Frink but I just couldn't stand it anymore ;-)
^lol, I was going to do the same thing the next time he posted "lair."
Luca$ is teh lair!
^^Luca$
Are you saying Luca$ is a giant c...? :-D
In that case he could just as well be the lair of the mighty Sarlacc, that's the same thing :-)

I agree completely. But I'm only one person.

^At least he put the apostrophe in the right place for once.

kenkraly2007, you ARE aware of the purpose, or "mission statement" of this site, aren't you? I personally believe you are here because you are a drama queen and you feed off of online conflict. While you're at it, why don't you go to RebelScum.com and tell everyone there that Kenner and Hasbro suck? Or go to StarTrek.com and tell everyone that Enterprise is a stupid name for a ship? Do you see what I'm getting at here? People usually find sites out of similar interests, so why the hell are you here? You will never, EVER change minds here about what has happened to Star Wars, so you're just here to stir the pot. People like you actually contribute to George's continued RUIN of film history by saying that you will buy the Blu-ray box set and the altered OT is "better than nothing so I'll buy it."
Do you tell yourself that for ANYTHING else in your life that you purchase?
Why are you aganest people buying the star wars blu-ray set? Why? I will buy the blu-ray set because all 6 films will be in the set that's why. So before you jump the gun think about what you are saying. Their are a lot of fans that will buy the star wars blu-ray set not just me. And don't call me a drama queen.

And that's sad because it's gonna be a rip off.
The blu-ray set will not be bad ok people don't jump the gun on it. The sound mix to episode 4 will be fixed and the lightsabers in episodes 4-6 will be fixed as well. So don't say the blu-ray release will be bad LFL will get it right this time.

Exactly. As far as I'm concerned, the set is incomplete and since it contains the prequels, no thanks.

Well, that's kinda cute and ironic.
Let me try to explain to you very clearly and unambiguously, why some of us are opposed to buying the blu-ray set: BECAUSE IT DOESN'T CONTAIN THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS TRILOGY.
Even if the SE trilogy "indeed" had its colors and sound mix "fixed," it would still just be the SE trilogy, not the OT. And every time LFL receives money for the sale of a Star Wars saga that excludes the OT, it reinforces to the their sales department, and by extension to George himself, that the SE trilogy is sufficiently profitable to render a proper OT release unnecessary. And since George is ideologically opposed to releasing a proper OT blu-ray, that kind of message is the one that Star Wars fans shouldn't be sending.
Now as for exactly why George is thusly opposed to doing a proper OT release, that's another question entirely. Maybe it has something to do with being a lair.

Okay, so how long have you been an employee of LFL? You must have been working on this Blu-ray set yourself then, eh?

Then how do you know they will fix all of these problems? If you're just "a Star Wars fan like everyone else", then you must be aware of LFL's track record of mucking these things up, yeah? So tell us, how are you so sure they will fix all the issues that need fixing?

I know. You already said so:
I will buy the blu-ray set because all 6 films will be in the set that's why.
And that means you're part of the problem. But I wasn't trying to convince you not to buy the blu-rays; merely to answer your question:
Why are you aganest people buying the star wars blu-ray set? Why?
Did I explain it to you? Am I getting through? Do you understand the words that are comin' out of my mouth? Or are you still content to do your best brick wall impression?
