Dual-Layer vs. Single-Layer DVDs (Picture Quality)?

Hello gundarks.  I recently downloaded and burned myself a copy of Adywan's 30th Anniversary reconstruction of Empire Strikes Back, which at the moment, is available mainly for single-layer DVDs.  I was hoping that there would be an option to download a dual-layer version,  which is capable of higher bitrates.  At the moment, I am looking at this purely from a technical perspective.  The single-layer version of Adywan's ESB looks great, but I made me think, "would this DVD benefit that much from a higher bitrate, which is possible on a dual-layer DVD?".  I welcome any input on this topic, maybe some comparison images even.

You should probably put this in the ESB reconstruction thread.

I think there would be a small but significant increase in the picture quality.  (TV's Frink is right about where this should be discussed.)  I seem to remember that Adywan has said that a dual-layer might happen at some point, but I would not count on it being any time soon.  No one can post pictures of something that has not been released yet, and I am not sure you would notice a massive difference from screenshots anyway.

Its not Dual Layer but is better looking than the dual layer Vintage edition, from what i have been told.  Never seen it myself.
