I always wished you could see more happening with the transports preparing to leave. It reminds me of a level in Rogue Squadron 2, where TIE Bombers are attacking the transports still on the ground. Also great to see the rear hangar exit of Echo Base.
Cannot wait to see this scene in action!!!

I'm feeling like I'm peeking too much :P (but it's just so much fun tearing a little corner from the Christmas/Kwanzaa/Chanukka/Whatever-floats-your-boat present!).
Ady, the new shot is AB-FAB. I love how the transports have different panels on their hulls so they look "just different enough" and are not copy/paste hack jobs like ILM did in so many cases. The X-Wings appearing from the direction of the hangar entrance just sweetens the deal. :)

I do love the new shot! But... something's wrong with the shadows.
In the old shot, shadows were almost invisible due to the heavy clouds covering the sun, but you can see the direction of them on the ground.
In this mock-up (sorry for the bad quality) I show you first the direction of the shadows and the fading sun (high contrast), and then what should the shadow under the carrier look like (more elongated in the 'nose' direction).

Also, perhaps the other turret in the "Rebel with Binoculars" shot should be removed, as it looks bad and would have to be placed right behind one of the transports in the new shot.

I thought we addressed this? There's no way that "T-47s" are snowspeeders, EU be damned. They're some kind of heavy equipment that a MEDICAL DROID is interested in loading, and can't. Does that make sense as a snowspeeder? Of course not. BAD EU! BAD!

Like a fox hole it's always nice to have 2 or more entraces / exits, Leia and that dude that's infront of the bad bluescreen does indicate that there are more than one entrance / exit.
North and south entrance was it?!
Well, medical droid or not, that droid might think it very helpfull for the rebs to get these heavy items loaded and why would a droid have "thoughts" like these?
Well it might have been around for some time and like many other droids have a unique perspective and "sentient" ( see for unique droids: R2-D2, C3-P0, IG-88 ) on what is needed or not in a war situation..

No, honestly I had to look myself, but I trusted that Ady had already thought of that. Both shots are labelled as "TEMP VIDEO" on the workprint, so Ady may have other plans of making them more obviously different.savmagoett said:

The entrance is only temporary. It was only used to see if adding the entrance would work in the composite. But those two entrances are different in appearance but i do think it's supposed to be the same entrance.
Humm, so if I may suggest something, the depth of this inside shot could lead you to make several entrances, that way it would make this side more obviously different than the main entrance. Just a thought…

I guess we need the two shots I posted to be the same as I'm not sure people at the back/south(?) entrance would be looking for walkers on their side, but they might. Perhaps a new entrance for the transport hanger then.adywan said:
