Exactly. (and this is the first time the scene has ever been altered, so it's not like it's becoming a trend or something...) When people come in here and start saying everyone is wrong, it reminds me of some of the more militant chefs on the original Iron Chef who would come in saying that fusion cooking is wrong and that they're destroying Japanese cuisine, blah blah blah... Yet they belong to one chapter of a national cooking school with hundreds or thousands of members, entirely dedicated to old school cooking. One guy on a TV show isn't going to destroy something that is universally loved and very easy to get, but that's how they act. ;)

Having a pretty stressful day today. I've almost completed the whole of the opening sequence of the bespin approach and i have 1 shot left to do. but it's not working. All the other shots look great, but the new first glance at cloud city i just can't get it to look right. If this doesn't work i will have to scrap everything bi have done for the new approach sequence and revert it back to the original.  Gutted.

And another thing, I'm not here to brown-nose Ady. I'm not a "yes man" as you put it. I have also suggested something to Ady that he didn't agree with. He didn't change my mind about it, but I didn't continue to push the matter because it's his edit- not mine, and I can make the changes I want on my own if I choose- as can you. There is no need to be as rude and childish as you have been.

I'm sure you'll figure out something for Bespin, Ady, whether it's a transition of some sort or whatever. You may just have a eureka moment yet!

You see, the Bespin flyby is what made me instantly fell in love with your project!

Ady, I'd suggest you do as Bingowings say: concentrate on another thing, take another look at it and solution will come to you. Trust us ;)

I agree with the rest of us. At the very least if you really don't feel you can make it work, keep it on the DVD as a deleted scene. But I agree that if you go and do some other scenes for a while and come back, a solution will probably present itself.

And BmB, sit down and take a chill pill. If you don't have a chill pill have one of those chill strips, you put it on your tongue, it dissolves: chill. Or just have some of my popcorn.

You know what would be awesome? Make it the premier of ESB:R. Rent some kind of projection room with an HD projector and have ESB:R shown from Ady's uncompressed files and then we could all go grab a beer and talk about how awesome it was :-)

Mind showing me that problem shot Ady? I might be able to suggest some alternative ideas that could help you out. 

Not to have you spill the beans on this, but if you are having problems with the scene Ady..post it here or ( as stated above ) to people you feel you can trust this info / scene with and listen to the feedback.

After all we are all here to give feedback, try to help and cheer you on.

It's actually a problem with the main element of the shot. I just can't find the exact cloud shot i need and the ones i tried cloud city looks like a cartoon. I've got the first 3 artbeats cloud fly-thru dvds but i just can't find the exact shot. It's more do do with me being a perfectionist really. I did find 1 perfect one but the sun was in the completely wrong direction :(

I'm going to put it to one side for the moment and concentrate on other things
