Uber awesome! :D
I'll call on you when I need to achieve the same (after colour correction and what-not)
That alone puts this edit on a whole other level. :)
Well, I'm making that shot available to anyone who wants to use it... Also working on removing him from tattooine.... If that's even possible... I know I can probably remove him from the funeral.
The only problem with removing him from the funeral is we have no way of relaying what R2 is saying to them about Obi Wan's transmission.
I can deal with that... Just like I can deal with "Grrrr" meaning so much to Han Solo. I think they can figure out that him being on the ship all this time and coming out all alarmed meaning that something has happened and they need to get to the ship to find out. Not a deal breaker for me.
True.
R2: Beep boop beep
Padme: R2? What are you doing here?
*scene transitions to ship*
Yep.

Have you seen the latest video from my edit? That's exactly what I've done, though it's not subtitled yet:

very interesting perspective ! and an angry droid...it's really Star Wars ! it works very well
droid removal (in the wedding) is also good idea
I don't think he sounds angry, more like there's a frog in his vocoder. :p
Here's an example of changing the trooper voices to feel more OT (whether I keep this part in my edit or not)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq6vwhZ7Oe4
I always felt the New Zealand accents were strange in the Star Wars universe. They've never sat right with me.
Well done. :) You sure are putting a lot of extra touches into this one that others haven't. I think this cut will be an inspiration for many other projects in the future.
Like the clone voice much better!
You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.

Mine or the original?
Speaking of clones, some of you may be aware that the clones have their own theme in my edit.
It plays in 2 variations:
First, when the Clones are introduced to us - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL9_JOrm0o8
Then in the finale which is much more dramatic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eVNlF3wpdI
Nice job on both. As I said at YT, it's sinister and pompous at the same time. :)
Thanks...I think ;)
Hi Brash
Those new rescores are fantastic, feel much more epic look forward to seeing/hearing more
Very imperialish i can say. Where is it from?
Makes no sense yeah? having the droid march and then a weak imperial march describing the same event..
Good job of keeping a continuity while you didnt create a mess like they did ;)
Are you planing adding the same/remixed cue into the battle too?
-Angel
Thanks for the positive comments!
Yeah it addresses the reused Battle Droid music, and the blatant "THEY'RE EVIL" imperial march whilst keeping some kind of continuity.
The track is from the soundtrack of KOTOR2 and is really the only one that seems to fit the movie and feel sufficiently OT.
I don't know about adding any into the battle. There's not much to work with. Between those two clips, I've pretty much used up the whole track - it is videogame music afterall.
If I find a place where it'll work, I'll give it a shot.
actually that "Droid Music" wasnt reused it was an all JW composed cue
John Williams score to Return of the Jedi Remastered/Remixed:

very good idea, it works well. Smooth transition in the second video with the love theme.
You must now handle the sound design to achieve it perfectly
here is another great track from KOTOR 2, my favorite : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8b1J6Or-6Y
Thanks, The Cutter. Yeah I was delighted with how well it bridges into the love theme. Couldn't have worked out better.
In regards to sound design, you seem to be the expert on it, judging from your edit. What do you use to mix your sound?
A computer I guess!!
Yes, yes I am funny!!
