2 wins, 1 tie. not bad.
2 wins, 1 tie. not bad.
1 win, 2 ties actually. Unless you're counting the Slovenia game as a 3-2 win?
until I get an official explanation from Fifa as to why the ref called a foul on that goal, I'm considering the Slovenia game a win for the US.
The ref called a foul because of human error. It happens.
and I want the error explained. The ref thought he saw something, I'd like to know what he thought he saw. I also like to know why he didn't explain himself on the field. In football(our football), when ref sees a foul, he throws a flag and says signals what the foul was. Why isn't this the case in futbol? I understand officials make mistakes. But to call a foul and not even explain what the foul was, is inexcusable. Also the replay seems to show that a Slovenia player had his arms totally around an American player. Unless that is legal in futbol, why wasn't that called?
Who cares man, USA are through to the next round..Get over it, it's football, this shit happens all the time. You should be glad!
Bring on the Germans!!!!
It'll end the same as it always does with the Germans...Extra time, the penalty's...That's when we get knocked out.....
Still, Sunday should be good!!!

What?
You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.
the ref in the US's game against Slovenia called a foul that took away from the US what would have been the winning goal. The ref never said why he called foul. So, until an official explanation is given, I will act like the US won that game.

if it happens all the time in futbol that refs call fouls that effect the outcome of games and refuse to explain what they saw that caused them to call the foul, you have a big officiating problem that needs to be fixed . . . badly.
Bring on Germany!
Found this ad for a South African telecommunications firm:

(this would never be allowed on a UK TV channel...)
Also, here is song dedicated to the former England manager who gave us our great 5-1 victory over the Germans in 2001:

The world cup is exactly like WWII. The French go out early, the USA arrive late, and the Brits are left to take on the Germans.
well if that's true, we'll be the ones to defeat the Germans. ; )
Ive just put £10 on a USA comeback at half time at a goal down against Ghana. But im a muppet, and you never know. Winnings go to Adywan for his prize fund.
Money down the drain..
Although, stay with the input Warb.
what a farce, Ghana kept interrupting the game at end, cause the clock never stops(kicking the ball out of bounds, faking injuries). The clock rules need to be fixed. If there is an injury, or the ball goes out of bounds, the clock should stop. Just like it does in every other sport, that I know of, that uses a clock.

Rod-stewart, i think you have the same chances of getting apast "The Fuhrer" as we have of getting a Blu Ray release of the OT.
I hope its not going to be a Brazil or Nazi winner of the tornement again.
Thats in bad taste again, aint it??

its not just Football that stops the clock when there is a stoppage of play, ice hockey and basketball do so as well. I'm not trying to turn futbol into football, I'm saying some things about futbol need to be improved. Is it too much to ask the fouls that effect the outcome of games are clearly explained? It is too much to ask that the team that is ahead not be allowed to drain the clock by faking injuries?
