It refers to Sidious "creating life" to keep Vader alive!  Further to that, recall, "to cheat death is a power only one has achieved, but if we work together, I know we can discover the secret."  He was never referring to saving Padme, but saving Vader.

Technically, nothing Sidious ever said to Anakin was a lie. 

It was a lie from the point of view that he said that it was possible in the first place and then they will try to find the secret.. In fact it is too late to look or go back since now he is keeping him.

Anakin seeks the power to beat death in AOTC which eventually turns that he want to use that power for padme and not for himself.

Looks like this Friday is the day my comp will be back up and running. I recieved the wrong cpu for my new Motherboard. The correct one I'll be picking up at the end of the week. 8)

Thanks. I'm looking forward to a ton of whole new changes and ideas that will be added. Time to push the limits of what can be done 8)

Alright been back up and running since Last night. Had to work at both jobs so I didnt have time to dive in until tonight. Working were I left off. Mace Palpatine duel in the dark. Soon as I have something worth showing. I'll post it up.

Been a busy week. Took a bit for me to get back into the grove of working on the movie.

 This is just a quick clip showing the progress so far. Nothing in this is even close to what I plan on the final cut looking like.  BTW I know that Maces saber turns back to purple at the end. I also still plan to tinker around with when the lights go on and off. More to come later in the week, as I have more time to work on this.

Ill be working on the scene tonight. Adding back in some dialogue, and trying to better tune when the room is light and dark. I have the whole duel done in  the dark. So now its pretty much down to figuring out what parts to darken and lighten, and they best way to present that effect, so that it appears as real as possible.

And to Bingo, the end result will be Palpatine shutting down the lights with the force. I agree it will work better that way. I redid that part having palpatine hit the button on the chair, cause I was going to try to have the whole duel in the dark. It didnt work so well. I just never changed it back to how it was before. Thanks for the input, always welcome.

Oh this is looking great! Absolutely great! And I look forward to what is coming with this scene.

I think I suggested this eariler...I think you could drag out the suspence at the beginning before the lights go out. I don't particularly like how you've rushed Palps line "it's treason then." it's a bit drowned out by the sound effect of his saber poping out of his sleeve. I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel they had the right timing in the original! lol

But I know you're still messing with the scene...can't wait to see some more! :D

From SW Insider there is an interesting dialogue between the three characters. I dont know if there was originally there or what.
MACE: You are under arrest, My lord
PALPS: Anakin! I told you it would come to this! I was right. The Jedi are taking over!
MACE: You old fool. THe oppression of the sith will never return.Your plot to retain the control of the republic is over. You've lost
PALPS: No no no you will die!

The rest is the same..

As you can see most of the "dirty" lines of death and murder are gone. having these or something similar it might get the tension and drama back.
Plus i like how the fool and disease lines are in. Maybe damn fool idealistic crusade? :)
Also noticeable how often the name anakin is being told.. weird.

i dont like having power used twice so close together:

Still working on this bad boy. Day job has kept me busy tho. Still getting used to AE CS5 also.

Been playing around with some of the effects I already have done, trying to improve them. Even some of the effects I decided wouldnt make the final cut. Just to get some practice. Added some Sith skin tone to the "Anakin eyes" scene that wont be in the final version. Maybe I'll add a bonus section to the DvD with all the stuff that didnt make it.

It's going, but not as fast as I would like. When I work on something with that many changes, I like to do it over a long period of sitting time. So I dont really do work on that unless I know I have a few hours to focus on it. It's getting there for sure tho. I keep moving stuff around and playing with the lighting, and I'm still tossing around alot of sound effect ideas. More will come soon. 8)
