I stumbled upon Star Wars Revisited a few days ago and afterwards I have read a lot a bout the mono mix restoration project and it sound awesome! I would really like to hear it, so if anyone can tell me how to get it I would be very thankful.

I've just uploaded a GOUT-synced AC3 file to a sharing service - PM me for link. Link now expired.
When I have the time, I'll re-upload the original WAV to the newsgroup.

Hello all! I'm relatively new here. I've spent about a day now looking around this forum, trying to find a working link to download the mono track for Star Wars. All links seem to have expired that I've found, and a torrent I am working on that I found on the web has 0 seeds. If anyone would be willing to help me get a copy, preferably of the original wav file, I would appreciate it very much. A file host, such as SendSpace, Megaupload, RapidShare, HotFile, etc, would be preferred though I can do torrent. Thanks to all for the restoration project, and look forward to being able to hear this. Thank you very much.

Way to go hairy_hen!
Don't forget the original WAV contains extra RIFF chunks, besides the canonical ones. Way back then for its initial distribution, Moth3r chose WavPack to preserve those extra chunks because old FLAC versions won't.
Nowadays modern FLAC versions can do it, just be sure to use the --keep-foreign-metadata option.
For whatever it's worth, m48 dvd.wav's so-called FLAC fingerprint (FFP) is something like:
F9AA ... 12C9
However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

I have the original CD of the Mono Mix somewhere. I'm not too savvy on the uploads though. If no one else can provide this in a few days, I'll see what I can figure out.

edit: I seem to recall that the original wavpack file I downloaded a few years ago needed the 1.017 second delay added to the beginning to synch with the GOUT video, but this one already has that.
