Ocp's Classic Edition did not have any colour-correction applied to the video from the 2004 DVD. I can't comment on the quality, but there were apparantly some issues with his ANH Classic Edition.

PaulisDead2221's Vintage Edit did alter the 2004 colouring, using a histogram technique to match the GOUT colour. It'll be interesting to see how Ady's approach compares.

This is from Ocp's CE, you will notice on DV the blacks are patchy and grainy.

Yes, that is typical of the issues with his ANH Classic Editon V2. But did his ESB CE have the same issues?

I'm wondering if its a DVD-5 or -9. I'm going to try to grab it as soon as it comes out, but I'm not sure this Giganews trial will hold up!

I remember saying something along those lines in a private message. (How would you like it if I posted your private message to me for public consumption? You know, the one where you said that TV's Frink's mother was a hamster and his father smelled of elderberries?)

Anyhow, the reason I asked about the audio is that some have reported that the audio on the GOUT DVD is lacking in dynamic range when compared to the laserdisc PCM, so I wondered which source was used for Ady's release.

Ady, when you have time, I hope you can you share some of the challenges of this project. Like maybe what was nearly impossible, what was easier than you thought, if you used any obscure sources, etc. I love that kind of stuff.

I can't wait to see how many "mistakes" he put back in, if any. For example, the snowspeeder that never flies through the ATAT explosion.

You should be able to sync GOUT audio by adding a delay at the beginning. I'm not sure what the delay would be though.

Like i said it isn't 100% accurate in that small things like that would have been put back to how they were originally, but i did re-flip things like the rank badges at the end
