One change I would like to see would be having some Jedi wearing armor as in the Clone Wars series (not to tie in with the EU but to give some of the Jedi a medieval knight look) and also have some of the Jedi wearing pretty much the same outfit Luke wears in ROTJ (making that out to be an established uniform of some kind).

The idea that the Jedi wear moisture farmer robes all the time seems a bit odd.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing concept art of battle weary Jedi at some point - things like Ki Adi wearing an eye patch, it was an interesting idea that they obviously decided not to go with.

EDIT: it seems they made an action figure based on this concept - see here:

http://www.rebelscum.com/TLCBD38ConceptKi.asp

yup thats true, i always wanted to see the jedi look more rough and war torn. would destroyed the image of the jedi in the republic's eyes as mystical robe wearing protects to special war torn soldiers.

Sorry, Bingowings, I tried making it Anakin that jumps out the window instead...but I just couln't do enough with the footage to make it work...maybe some day Adywan can pull it off... ;)

Master of of your kind SSWR!

I m really impressed how you manage you apply all the ideas so awesomely done! And how you change the mood of the poor editing to a masterpiece!

I love the shot of the foreground head of anaking sees the spaceship from below. No Falling!! :D

I love the no bar concept! really tights the things up.

Any change obi or anie actually runs away trying to catch jango? At least trying? :P

A question. Obi said: that was shoot? when the two cars colliding?(one more great idea :D)

Great stuff once again :D Begging for more :D

You are too kind, Angel! :)

Yeah, I was hoping that shot looked alright. I just wanted us to follow Anakins thinking a little more. And yes he still falls but it's just a few feet I guess. It's alot more believable fall now. I hope! :D

This particular edit won't be for everybody. I do like how you can build some great tension in the nightclub...but it always seems to drag a bit.

Any change obi or anie actually runs away trying to catch jango? At least trying? :P

Hmm...nice idea...not sure how that would work-...although if you were thinking about cutting/rearranging all of the Kamino stuff...you could then have it start to rain on corucsant, Obiwan goes after Jango, and part of that fight takes place there instead of Kamino.  just a thought...

A question. Obi said: that was shoot? when the two cars colliding?(one more great idea :D)

He says "That was good!"  I took that line from when they went through the power coupling thingy and got electocuted.

Thanks again, Angel!

Yeah! why not? radical changes to eliminate shitty moments.

Rain on coruscant.. Sweet :D

Well Obi is a wise jedi.. he could say"Oh dear" or "so uncivilized"..

Like that he sounded like an ass with no emotions for the two guys just died.

lol yeah I thought of that too...but I couldn't really find a good replacement line. "Oh dear" from ROTS would work well...but I think he should sort of be yelling the line...and he's not in ROTS.

Lots to love in this SSWR.

I'm not sure if Obi-Wan would be so flippant about an unfortunate hot pursuit caused loss of life though. I was thinking more knocks and near misses than actual crashes...(the poor sods who die when the Anakin bashes into the control tower in ROTS might have been realistic but I'm sure that Anakin and Obi-Wan weren't cracking a joke about it).

Some of the music changes I like...not too keen on "Here They Come" being used in this context (I was a bit miffed when it was used so freely in the Jabba sail barge scene).

The changeling face is something that should be removed all together (hasn't this been done in a fan edit already...or did I dream it?).

Nice to see a more sympathetic Anakin all by removing the second shouty line (he isn't a complete nut job here).

The bar isn't really missed (though it does add a bit of detail to city life it's not a location where anything pertinent to the story takes place) but we are still left with a Fett who needn't have been there (a bounty hunter hiring a bounty hunter seems a bit daft).

I can't see a way around that other than having Fett track Sam earlier and try to bump her off as a rival for the bounty.

Maybe he could fire and miss just before she makes her escape bid in her speeder.

Still great work and full of ideas.

awesome video SSWR! love the reduction of the fall, and the music additions too. did i detect some recoloring?

SSWR, I've been toying with this idea yesterday myself, almost frame for frame. How weird!

I'd previously cut it the same as the Phantom Editor (they just follow Zam to the club) but I've started thinking that excising ALL the action from that scene was a bad choice, so decided to keep Anakin jumping down (only making it a more plausible distance)

Great minds eh!

No it isn't and no it does not.

Not unless you are seeing a completely different set of movies than everyone else "Here They Come" is the music that plays when the TIEs start to attack the Falcon in ANH, it's used to similar effect in ROTJ but also turns up for no apparent reason in the barge scene too.

It doesn't appear at all in ESB.

I should probably clarify that the way I've cut it is almost the same as yours but the main difference is that it doesn't have anakin's head and the speeder in the foreground during Zam's speeder's flyby (which I'd considered doing, but didn't know how and had no idea it could possibly look as good as that!)

Where did you grab the foreground shot from? Was it composited/keyframed in with after effects?

This was one of the reasons I really didn't like PE's EP 2.

The commentary is great, however.

Maybe he wanted to keep a low profile but still earn some money, so he hired someone else to do his job. It would seem logical for him not doing the dirty work.

Maybe it could be edited in a way where they actually were working together rather than Jango hiring Zam. I know we dont look at EU but in the bounty hunter game for ps2 Jango and Zam worked together. May the adjustment of the line of ''my client is gettin impatient'' to ''our client is gettin a little impatient''. Then as Zam is about to reveal the person who hired her it could be cut so she never mentions about a ''Bounty Hunter called....''

Agreed. I've listened to the commentary several times over. In some areas, he's absolutely spot on, however the speeder scene is one part I feel he could have kept some Star Warsy action with a bit of creative editing.

One thing the PT is missing is a loveable yet rogueish Han solo type character, and the way SSWR has edited this scene establishes Anakin as that very archetype.

its a small excerpt of that piece.

from the ROTJ liner notes: Page 14: "Williams now delivers a satisfying musical pay-off to the Tattooine sequence, a bold action cue filled with familiar orchestrations of the Rebel Fanfare as the heroes unite in a battle against Jabba's bandits."
Page 19 "SAIL BARGE ASSAULT [alternate] is a straightforward action cue that was dropped when it was decided to use more of Luke's Theme and the Rebel Fanfare for the sequence."
Page 26: "Action music is heard as the shield generator explodes, with the Rebel Fanfare occurring as Lando finally leads the fighters toward the Death Star"
