Sweetness
Love that it's back. It's always wonderful to explore, and it's of course filled to the brim with pure awesome. Perhaps the pixel-font doesn't read too well against the star background though :) -- Also, I must admit,I still really wish it was pure HTML.
But very nice to see it back up there; I feared it had died.

Definitely much easier than the last site, from what I recall. I look foward to browsing through :)
edit: is this finished by any chance? The "features" "links" and "contact" buttons do not work for me. And I take it the highlighted years on the timeline are the ones that currently have information on them?
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
I love the site and your use of flash is amazing. I'm very envious. I wouldn't change it to html. If people don't like it, that's fine by me. I think you should design it as you see fit. You've got high marks from me anyway.
Nothing new on this?
Its such a shame that after 3 years this still isn't available. I for one don't see any difference between releasing clips and putting out the whole thing. But I suppose my desire to see the thing is influencing my reasoning. From reading through this whole thread there seems to be no resolution.

The section on new contact sheets says you can read more by selecting "varous". Where can I find that link?

Mmmm... By the way, this discussion makes me think of this book wich is about to come out this summer... In the wait of the M. Parbot clips that should be quite interesting:

Now would be the time for someone with a PAL formatted VHS player to snag this sucker up and get it ripped. I know I would love to see it!

yes it is. Luckily i managed to get the executor tin box set when they came out. I'm pretty sure this is on the Rowman bonus discs
edit: Posting at the same time as Ady. Gonna have to dig out the discs tonight to check if I've got this. I've seen so many Star Wars docs in the last five years it's difficult to keep track of which I've seen alrady. :)
original post: So was this one included on any of the old fan compilation discs released the last few years? I've got quite a few of those and may need to rummage around to see if this is the one.
Is the rare one just a longer version of this version?
O.T. or No T., baby!™
Its a totally different hour long doc that seems to have never been released, aside from the 15 min clip that someone dug up here earlier. It better be Gary Kurtz or GL himself who told Darth Neo never to release it, because if its anyone else it doesn't make much sense to keep it under wraps.

So is this a joke or a slap in the face? I've just heard about this wonderful documentary and like everyone else here I would kill to watch it and add to my collection. But the person who has it in his possession says he promised he would never leak it. But he'll make a website professionally done about it? Wow. That's low. Admins can remove this or whatever, but I will not stand here and give this man what he clearly wants. And that is attention. He knows he has something that no one else has and but everyone wants. And instead of sharing this treasure with the rest of the Star Wars Community, he refuses to release and creates a web site about it. Shame on you.

FFS, can we not drag all this shit up again? Thanks.

Sorry to open up old wounds and all, but some of us found this thread late. There's only one thing I love just as much if more than the movies themselves and that's behind the scenes stuff. I'm sure this is even worse for those who like to put together all the great fan documentaries. Much thanks to those who have spent time and money to try and obtain this for the fans. Let the carrot dangling continue...

I haven't popped in here in quite a while and was damn surprised to see that this thing hasn't been released yet. Damn shame. This year would be a great time to see something like this make it out there.
A long time ago in the faraway galaxy...
Star War: The Third Gathers
Backstroke Of The West
Yeah, I just learned about this a few weeks ago. So I felt I should put my two cents in. Not releasing this is a dick move. Pure and simple. Imagine if there are only two copies of this in the world and both people die within a year. Then we Star Wars fans are left without a piece of history. Now that is a crime.

But JackLucas has a point though; there isn't a better time for this to see the light of day, grumpy Moth3r or no :)

I have to agree with Moth3r. Unless there is some good news about this. When ever I see this thread get "bumped", I get excited only to read the same crap over and over....
What about Darth Neo rip it for us ?
... just asking ...
Neo has made an agreement with his source that he wouldn't rip the disc.
Another thread that should rest in peace until LEGITIMATE news happens with it.
I was kind of hoping that those involved in gathering material for the blu-ray set might stumble across a copy in the archives or something. In any case, got my copy of the ESB 'Making of' book pre-ordered and shall enjoy that for now. :)
