Just curious how fishman is coming along with this project.  It's been a few months, so surely he's got some new clips to show us.

That actually seemed pretty clean to me.

You might want to give credit to the people you get ideas from, if you can remember who they are.

I can't claim credit for that editing decision, it looks fine :-)

As much as I love Perry King his Han doesn't sound anything like Harrison's.

There will be too much visible panty line.

Perry King tested for Han Solo on star wars.  He obviously was not chosen.

I like His Han performance though.

I the Leia in the Radio drama as well.

Even the Luke in Jedi is decent if jarring because it is not Mark Hamill.

The Lando in Jedi is horrible though, funny that they were able to get Billy Dee for Dark Empire but not for Return of the Jedi radio, lol.

I think The Vader in star wars radio is spot on, but in empire and jedi leaves a lot to be desired even if the same guy from star trek VI.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

hmm - Ok i get it that Adywan doesnt like fishmanlee but telling him not to use footage from his star wars edits.....???

Doesnt all footage packaged as "Star Wars" actually belong to Lucasfilm Ltd? no matter what anyone does to these films we are never going to own the rights to them and to suggest otherwise is just crazy talk. We can apreciate them for what they are but at the end of the day Lucasfilm own the rights and nothing we do will change that.

Wether you decide to spend years editing work that you do not own, does not make it yours. Owning the original Star Wars DVD's does not give you any rights - Lucasfilm seems to allow these edit to take place - but if they wanted to to im sure they would have the power to shut these sites down.

Don't get me wrong, its great that we're able to do this - and Adywan no one can deny that as edits go yours are pretty spectacular - but to tell someone they cannot use your edit seems a bit hypocritical to me.

You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.

Not to rake up old dung but fishmanlee was putting out some of his 'unusual' edit decisions as "Revisited" creating possible confusion for people seeking Adywan clips  and generating criticism which should have been sent to fishman but was being received by Adywan.

Adywan offered to help him but was told that his help wasn't needed.

Yes, we are all playing with Lucas' toys but when you take into account the amount of hard graft that Ady has put into every frame of his projects, seeking permission before using it and respecting a request not to if asked is good form.

I agree that we, as editors, really don't have any ownership of our work, but I do believe in our little "honor among theives" code of at least asking. Almost every time I'm asked, I say yes, and I would be fine with fishmanlee using any of my ideas, as after he does what he wants with them my original edits will still be around. Kind of like SE vs. OUT. You may hate the SE's, but at the end of the day, the OUT still exist.

Though I do take issue with billing it as being related to Revisited, especially since Ady puts so much work into these edits. fishmanlee, if you make sure there is no confusion and kindly ask the editors you are using ideas from if they are fine with it, i can't see why you'd have any further problems.

A test at removing Boba Fett from the Sail Barge battle

I know this idea has been tossed around a bit, so i just credited Bingowings seeing that usually he is the biggest idea giver with ROTJ (along with ChainsawAsh)

I did that too, if you want to check that out for ideas.

Once again I don't require credit for the idea of not having Fett at the pit.

True I did suggest him being off world doing other things when that happens but lots of other people have suggested the idea of removing Fett completely and have put the idea into motion (something I have never done).

I concentrated more on giving him something in character to do so as fan-service it was at least Fett-ish and added something to the story.

I personally don't really want credit for any idea that an editor reads in one of my posts and wants to use.

The only reason I agreed to be included in the ESB:R credit list is because my godson thought it would be nice to see my name in the credits of a film he loves.
