Timing Quiz: How well do you know Star Wars 1977?

Here's the game.  Put the events in order and then guess the time each event starts.  The correct order is worth 10 points, and any item out of order will lose you a point.  Guess the time (the hours, minutes and seconds on the clock) each event starts.  Each time is worth 3 points if within five minutes, 2 within ten minutes, and 1 point within 15 minutes.

Times are taken from the 1977 version of the film (TR47 DVDs).

Feel free to post your answers below.  The only prize is knowing how awesome you are, so cheating is, of course, a no-no.

1. Vader's first appearance - Episode III
2. Luke's first appearance - Episode III
3. Ben's first appearance - Episode I
4. Luke gets lightsaber - It's not really yours until you make your own, so Episode VI
5. Death Star's first appearance - Episode II in concept, III in reality
6. Luke decides to leave with Kenobi & become a Jedi - preordained by the Force, so at the beginning of time
7. Han's first appearance - that was probably him flying the Falcon into the Senate building in Episode III
8. Heroes leave Tattooine - Episode I
9. Alderaan is destroyed - Episode IV
10. Millenium Falcon approaches Death Star - I guess Episode IV, but a future movie set between III and IV may prove us wrong
11. Luke and Leia meet - "Somehow, I've always known"=Episode III. QED.
12. Ben and Vader fight - Episode III
13. Ben dies - one is not truly dead in the Force; trick Question!!!
14. Heroes reach the rebellion - reserved for a future story; see #10
15. Pilots getting in x-wings and y-wings - too broad. I refuse to answer
16. X-wings approach Death Star (with Yavin in bg) - I guess IV, meh.
17. Vader gets in his fighter - I don't know, Episode IV? But was that really the first time in his custom TIE,lol??
18. Han attacks Vader's fighter - more like a sucker punch. The Dark Side is stronger, hel-LO! Like Han could really attack a powerful Sith Lord.

Wow, pretty good! Well, I have seen it many times the past 14 years so I can watch it in my mind if I want.  Also I know pretty much where the half point is so it's kinda easy to put the events after that. Also making subtitles for it has helped! :D The sequels are gonna be harde since I'm not sure how the timing goes there... Putting the events in the right order is easy, though.

Okay, so that's all of them so far.  Assuming we don't get any more entries, LexX won by a landslide with TheBoost and Moth3r in a hotly contested (yet distant) 2nd place.  none and I will be back in the theatre trying to figure out where we went wrong.  VFP... well... you owe me 5.

So... now that we've showered LexX with accolades, I can say that his is the least interesting because it's so accurate.  For the rest of you: Why do you think your answers were off?  Could you have done better given more time and thought?  Or, like me, do you perceive the action scenes to actually be longer than they are and perceive the dialogue scenes to be shorter?  Do you forget that the 2nd highest billed actor isn't introduced or mentioned until 46 minutes into the film?  Did you think certain scenes were longer, or did you just assume there were more scenes between the points I picked?

Other observations?  What did you learn?

Thanks for the game. :) Like I said, the sequels are going to be much harder if I'll participate in those. Those Dagobah/asteroid scenes will be a pain in the butt to get right.

Is this, perhaps, from watching it on video disc or video CD?  We had it on video disc and I remember having to swith sides just after the Millenium Falcon leaves hyperspace (I think) on its way to Alderaan.  We made a VHS dub of the movie, but it still had a harsh audio jump at this point in time.
