I could. I want to fix it though. What I had done to ET was make a film score edit. I need to present it as a complete score, not an edit.

I would like to wait until there's a lull... let GGCTUK find some more of the pieces, then make my edit and send it to ABC and get his final revision on it.

Made me think of my first attempt of EQ's on a SW score. Indeed I grabbed GM 4CD set one (edit>) or two - years ago and as usual couldn't let go a bunch of particularities before burning it.

I took 2 days working on a 3CD set from it (sorry, I'm not that much a completist) but of course it would have deserved more time. I don't remember exactly what I've done or what was bothering me (though I kinda remember there was perhaps loud lows on a big part of the score). Anyway I missed a lot of things on it, notably the volume settings of half the set which were too loud... It was not meant to be perfect however, notably when the downloaded set was MP3... (Ooooohhhhhhh ! Bad !!!) :)

GM hasn't heard this revisited set, nobody else besides as it was not meant to be shared (and is still not).

... Just for fun I though the current discussion was a good occasion to post a couple of tracks. As far as I haven't kept the original set I can't tell how far it makes a difference. Perhaps GM or someone who still has it can...

Then, here are:

  • Main Title
  • Droid Invasion
  • Gungan March
  • The Battle Begins

Any way I can get hold of your AOTC music now that the index link isn't working? It might be a huge help in my edit!

he's kinda waiting for the GGCTUK to finish sifting through cues before making them available

HOWEVER in this thread here a friend of mine is working on a complete score for AOTC: http://soundtrackmixing.freeforums.org/episode-2-tracklist-etc-t8-30.html

Would anyone here be willing to upload Goodmusician's AOTC score somewhere?

My FTP is down right now so I can't reup0load anything anyway.

I've been too busy to get with GGCTUK but I'm gonna about the prequels and get his information and see if I can't simply update my edits and re-relesae them. But I need to get my FTP up which might take longer. The guy who owns it is in the navy and is thus, unavailable for long periods of time :(

Wow I've haven't been on here in a while, there's been quite a few developments I see.

Firstly to Fishmanlee, thank you very much for that link to the Jabba music, I did try and recreate my own but this is much better!

And GM, I await with eager anticipation the uploading of your Star Wars sets although please do not feel rushed by us, I know how annoying it can get when everyone's asking you when/where/how long etc.

And GGCTUK has apparently moved from ffshrine since it has been revamped in a 'don't upload music here' kind of way which is a shame. I didn't manage to get hold of his TPM set, can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's funny, I have every single official soundtrack, I have my own complete soundtracks, I have various lesser bootlegs drifting around the place, I have GM's old soundtracks, most of GGCTUK's and yet I'm still wanting more... I'm basically just a Star Wars music whore

Same. I unfortunately didn't download his TPM. The tracklist looked like the tracks were edited together instead of separated as GM tends to do, so I didn't download. Stupid, I know.

I too am looking for more "complete" scores for AOTC and ROTS.  I hate the prequels, but will always appreciate John Williams' music.

During a random search through eBay, I found these:

Anybody have an idea on these?  The eBay seller said he got them from "a guy in Japan" and wouldn't reveal anything more.

At any rate, I would like the info on getting the GoodMusician scores.  Thanks!

Did he offer at least a track list? I could authorize it if it were real?

A small update: the FTP is permanently down. I can't upload to it anymore :(

I'm also in the midst of scoring my first film so i'm kinda busy at the moment but when i get a chance, and by request, i can upload certain things if people would like that?

I know there seems to be a great urging for my star wars and indiana jones edits heh

Nope.  I asked and all I got was the Japan response.

So, consider this my formal request for your materials, SW or otherwise.  :)

I also take it that the CD collections in the pictures above are bootlegs and the eBay seller is profiteering.

its hard to tell... i'd guess so. The discs clearly say "extended edition" which means little more than a fan edit. :(

Also my original Episode II was two discs and episode III was three... lol
