Never noticed the Emperor´s shuttle was so dirty... :P Given the guy surely made his way from Coruscant to Endor on a big ship (the TIE Fighter game even says it´s his personal super star destroyer...), you´d think that the shuttle used for his quick transference from the larger ship to the DSII would be sparkling clean... :)

I was thinking about the possibility of making the Emperor's shuttle look fancier, like making it look really clean and having a grand looking emblem on the side of it, but on the other hand would that really be what the Emperor would want? It would make him an attractive target to any nerdowells who are around, whereas a standard, weathered looking shuttle is inconspicuous.
Oh dear... Now I've gotten myself on a train of thought that I'm having trouble leaving! :(

That reminds me of my favorite Adam West line, when Batman in full costume goes into a restaurant and is offered the best seat in the house and he says : "I'm just going to hang around the bar. I don't want to look conspicuous".
With two bright light sources near his face he could do with a bit of light on that evil mush of his (for more skilled hands to work on):

LOL Pope mobile for Palpy... hahaha... Actually making the Imp Shuttle look bigger fancier and eviler does sounds like a good idea... =D Maybe something similar to a trooper carrier but more sleek and have the Imp Cog design on the middle fin in shiny onyx like material or something. A limo of Imperial shuttles. =)

I say make the shuttle black with red Imperial symbols on both sides of the center fin.
Just a test to put Endor in the windows of the Emperors Tower in ROJ.
Vader & Luke were a pain to mask and key, thats why it's not the full scene.
Will try another when Vader & Luke get to top of steps.

^ Amazing Jaitea - that addition REALLY spicens up the lackluster set! Also, have colouring differences been applied to the consoles in the throne room? Blue-ing/brightening them up? The set really comes alive now.
Great video; it's hopeful to see that the image concepts and mock-ups bandied around this thread can actually be nicely applied to moving film.

Looks great but too colorful concerning the mood and music associated... We're kinda in a den of evil with Luke at this point, seeing colorful and natural Endor would take away from that. That would be my concern.

A wonderful job, I would make the planet darker, but it proves that it can be done and work.
It would be interesting to see the planet darker as to show that the sun is behind it.

I like your idea YSF, a night time endor would be perfect for the mood of the scene, but unfortunately, at that moment it is day time on that side of the planet, so making the sun behind it would create a discontinuity…

Inspired by the Godfather Part II and a revamp of Star Wars: Reborn
I've really enjoyed Adywan's work, but some of you are starting to do the same garbage as Lucas did with the OT. You see, many of peoples here are blaming Lucas for the whole SE stuff and changes, but are you not starting do the same as he did? What's the point of putting more and more things on the screen? And really, your proposed color correction is as bad as the 2004 DVD's. Why not simply put the colors from the original version, fix the lightsabers and that's all?
At the beginning I was pleased with the revisited idea, but now it is going in wrong direction. It's going in even worse direction than Lucas did. I though you simply loved the original trilogy. Only thing what was missing there were quality and colors. If this two things are done, I don't see any point of making another PT-garbage with OT. On your place I would left it, wait till Adywan fix important things and enjoy my life.
And remember - I am not attacking you. I simply don't understand this whole Lucas blaming if your doing then even worse garbage than he did and then saying "I loved the unchanged OT".

Well this isn't the place for purists. I cannot help but stress this every time people start going off, but this is a FAN EDIT section. If you absolutely hate it, go to the PRESERVATION EFFORTS.
We don't hate the SE, we just hate the fact that he didn't release the OT in high quality.

I don't know if I am one of the people that you are pinpointing but this is a suggestion thread, a place for people to be creative, point out bloopers and poor areas in the films, a lot of these ideas are impossible to change and may not be done, by Adywan or whoever.......in a nutshell......its all a bit of fun, really.

Once in a while a post like Jacobss appears phrased in a similar way.
First off this isn't an Adywan thread.
Second everyone on here wants the original unaltered versions of the OT to be made available in the best possible format and restored to a professional standard (something the guys and girls on the ranch have claimed is impossible which is clearly not true).
Third the SE exists.
At the moment it exists in two different forms, in the future it may turn up again in another official incarnation casting each previous manifestation into the legacy media format bin.
If we have to have SEs they may as well be special.
ROTJ is was not made to the same high standard as the rest the OT.
Yes that's my opinion but it's a common enough one to justify considering making major changes to the film.
The PT is even more out of step with wonderful world established in ANH and ESB and that provides a wider opportunity to really rework those films.
If you don't agree with that notion don't worry the official SE will no doubt turn up on BluRay and most of us will probably buy it and until then there is the official DVDs and I hope everyone has those.
Making edits of the SE doesn't contradict the call for the unaltered OT getting the release it deserves anymore than an edit like TMBTM's grindhouse version.
Faneditors don't restrict access to original material like Mr Lucas, in fact they almost universally insist on the originals being purchased and therefore in circulation.
