What does anyone think about changing the scene where Luke throws the skull to close the gate on the Rancor?
I think it would be neat if it were changed so that Luke force pushed the control switch in order to close the door.

In fact a good reference for ady(im sure he knows that) or anyone else who begs for changes to the monitors, is ROTS when the jedi are in the briefing room, in the temple. The glass monitors in the background are similar with the one in OT and contain subtle movements , like i said a good reference of how can look in ESB :)
Cant be easy to make mockups without movement to show the difference.

I know im not supposed to have the Prequels in my mind when coming up with new ideas for the OT:R. but something just struck my mind that I think the majority of you will disagree.
It has already been suggested that Wookiee's could possibly be added to the Battle of Endor, rebel fleet briefing room. And I don't mean to sound like a PT lover, but what if there was a possibility that some Battle Droids from the Seperatist Armies and were used to fight with the Rebellion (against the Empire which was once the enemy of the Seperatists as the Republic) Disagree? i thought so, but it came across my mind somehow :/

I can only say that bodies of battledroids can be here and there as easter egg or relics in the ewok village.
Reminds me the clone wars episode with the kid had in control the battle droids...

I kept the minimal style. only dots and curves.
I like that ghosting effect we see in ROTS and lets say can give an extra touch to these glasses.
I want a step by step guide.

I know how he does it. Angel is a meticulous robot from the past.
I used to go nuts over things, but anyone with a good eye and a strong work ethic can do it. Angel just happens to do that everyday, so he knows photoshop like the back of his robotic actuated claws.

Angel, love what you have done to those readout screens.
If that was combined with the sort of animation Dave did it would be a great addition to all the OT movies (might be worth adding it to the after ady ANH thread too).

That looks amazing, totally gives the shot life and depth, but the planet is too much. The foggy atmoshere would be a good route to take in transforming Endor a little. Now, Id like to see some more waterfall mockups, cause I think they would be a good addition to a boring planet.

It is not certain that the scene was actually deleted. More, not completed.
The droids were shot, standing outside the cave looking in. C-3PO and R2-D2 talked with eachother, but not with Luke. This was done late in the production. Anthony Daniels has told me this personally.
Mark Hamill has said in interviews that he was never part of shooting this scene and that he never provided dialogue for a stand-in.
The origin of the Elstreeprops ROTJ lightsaber that comes apart is dubious. It is likely that it was never part of the movie production at all. We do know, however, that the original "hero" prop was modified after the "I See That You Have Constructed A New Lightsaber" scene, to have a higher control box with a circuit board that can be slid out, revealing electronics inside. The "hero" prop in this state is the one that is showcased in Lucasfilms various exhibitions and is the one that Master Replicas has replicated. Anyway.. If someone still wants to create this scene with a new actor and a lightsaber like the one from Elstreeprops, then there is someone (outside Elstreeprops) who is building replicas of it: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=77321 . Great mockup!
I love it. The original one looks so bland.
I am also for adding in the planet Endor is a sanctuary moon for. Like you have in this pic.
I don`t think it is feasible for adding in wookies. I think we are stuck with the EWOKS. But you must admit. Ewoks are better than gungans. EWOKS are way less silly and idiotic.
I would prefer the end battle between Vader and Luke on Coruscant... I just don`t know how you would do it. Seems you would need to change diologue to make it make sense. The end battle in one revision was supposed to happen below coruscant in a lava room.
I can understand though, that Lucas and Kasdan moved it so that it puts Luke in peril and connected to the events of the large space battle.
