I just found the biggest goof in the whole of Star Wars. When Ben and Luke are stopped by the Stormtroopers, Ben says "these aren't the droids you're looking for." But if you look closely, you'll see that they ARE the droids they're looking for! I can't believe no-one spotted this...

I need some helpful advice. I had Windows 7 installed on my laptop, and when I tried to watch Star Wars Revisited and the trailer for Empire Revisited, the sound completely screwed up. It's not missing or out of snyc, but it's an ear splitting pitch. I tried re-downloading SWR, but I still have the same problem.
Can someone help me out on what to do?

Okay, I read the blog. Now what do I do about the audio glitch?

What are you playing it with? Have you tried it with VLC? And just to double check, the audio is present and recognisably Star Wars, just squealy? And other AVIs are fine?

Windows Player. I didn't have this issues until I installed Windows 7.

And the other three questions? :) I was going somewhere, they weren't just random...

I know. I was downloading VLC. It works perfectly now, thank you. Before, only the picture was fine. The audio was like nails on a chalkboard.
Like I said, I downloaded VLC, and it plays perfectly on that. Thank you again, Darth Editious.
hey guys
I recently just deleted everything on my pc due to a virus, including my revisited copy, which sucks, and I can't find a link to get it from again, is there anyone here that can help me?
best regards Kongerne
New years day, TheBoost (me) hosts a marathon all 6 Star Wars in a day party.
Having just recently moved, this is both my housewarming party, and a chane to introduce a batch of old chums and their kids to "Revisited." (I'll also be substituting the Phantom Editors edits into the marathon).
If anyone's near Mecca california Jan 1st, pop on by and have some burgers, blue milk, and enjoy the saga.
I'm rather disappointed that I can't find the PAL/DVD-9 version of this anywhere. Does anyone know a site that still has it?

Would someone be kind enough to provide me with a download link? Please and thank you.
Sorry, no direct download links allowed on this forum. You might be able to find what you're looking for at fanedit.info.
Guidelines for post content and general behaviour: read announcement here
Max. allowable image sizes in signatures: reminder here
Moth3r: already taken care of (PM sent to thancockjr).
BTW, any chance of bringing back the white box around linked images again?

I had already checked fanedit.info before I joined this forum. What I discovered was that the PAL DVD-9 link has the same checksum as the NTSC DVD-5 link (or something equally painful along those lines). What was most off-putting was that the filenames in the PAL link also indicated they were NTSC files.
vaderios sent me a link by PM. At least the one I found from him is labelled correctly, so that's promising ;)
Hello, is there any link to a PAL-9-DVD? I didn't find it. Instead I find NTSC-files.
Solution: Two files had the same name and without an external program I couldn't check their content which wasn't identical as I had presumed.

Thanks for the replies!
Reason for misunderstanding has been solved and reported. :-)

Unfortunately it has been a waste of time and a PAL-DVD-9 is currently unavailable on the site I've found. From what I have noticed via a torr.-check is that a PAL.iso is available but incomplete. Where can I find the PAL.iso?
Here are the two different iso-sizes:
NTSC: 8.166.532 KB (8.362.528.768 Bytes)
PAL: 8.114.144 KB (8.308.883.456 Bytes)

Just discovered (Star Wars, Episode IV):
Here's a nice overview regarding differences in the original Star Wars compared to the Special Edition and of the video versions published (unfortunately German only). "Schnittberichte" means "cut report". http://www.schnittberichte.com/schnittbericht.php?ID=4334040

What exactly leads you to believe the PAL-9 ISO is incomplete? Just comparing the filesize between PAL and NTSC is like saying "this apple is larger than that banana, so the banana is incomplete".

The NTSC & PAL versions do have different file sizes due to different framerates etc. There is nothing wrong with those reported filesizes

But my banana is incomplete!
Though, as it was raised, I did become concerned that perhaps my copy was incomplete (although I tested it by checking opening and closing credits, so if it was incomplete it would only be for the special features). I am paranoid about certain "share" websites and certain proprietary compression formats that shall remain nameless.
Glad to know that what I've got is what I want :)
