Recently spotted this player on eBay UK - it appears that a PAL version of this player was also manufactured.
What I've found out so far: it's a well-built industrial model dating from around 1984, it has a BNC composite video output (the PAL version also has a SCART output), and it has analogue audio playback only.
Questions:
1. Is the composite out a "pure" output (i.e. not pushed through any outdated comb filters)?
2. How would the PQ compare with my D925 - bearing in mind that the optical reading/decoding hardware in the V4000 is several generations older?
3. Does the PAL model also play NTSC discs?
