Any updates?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the opening post and the thread title say this is "available now."

What are we waiting on here, an audio update (version 2.0) with the menu error corrected?

If the torrent is seeded, I might check this out, even though TPM still sucks...!

The audio on the initial release appears to be from a bootleg laserdisc and doesn't represent the true 5.1 track that everyone loves so much from the official LD.  Ady managed to get a hold of the official LD and was ripping the audio, but started to have trouble with his LD player - since then, we haven't heard anything.  But he is (to my knowledge) planning on releasing a V2 with the proper audio.

Actually I believe that he is just releasing the proper audio and having everyone replace the files in the ISO. Or something like that.

Sorry about the lack of updates. My laserdisc player has decided to refuse to play any discs now. It just spits them out, so capturing side 2 is on hold. But i'm going to be able to borrow a player that has RF output as soon as the person returns back from holiday, towards the end of next week, maybe sooner. So it shouldn't be to long before i have the new audio track for you all.

question... the laserdisc didn't have an isolated score did it?

Or is this something your adding? If so... where are you sourcing from becuase there is my edit, but GGCTUK has found some interesting new bits and we've been working to advance our knowledge of this score.

They're micro edits really, but it's fascinating what we're finding.

It occurs to me now that an isolated score could very easily be taken from the Ultimate Edition... sad face... lol

Would you CONSIDER a correct isolated score :-p??

Is it not sad that in this time, we are more surprised by acts of love than acts of hate?

yes, the isolated score was taken from the Ultimate edition.  I'm not going to do another version of the isolated score as i don't want to spend any more time on this project because of all the other things i have going on at the moment.

I've recaptured the audio but there are a few drop-outs due to disc rot that need patching up, so will take a bit of time to fix but i  will hopefully post the audio fix and full instructions by the weekend if all goes well :)

My ISP recently discontinued Usenet access. Is there anywhere else that I can get this from?

You mean your ISP recently discontinued FREE Usenet access....right?  If you want it soon you'll have to pony up the cash for another Usenet provider. Astraweb and such usually have free trails.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

Firstly, the difference between the theatrical and DVD versions can be seen here... http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/articles/star-wars-the-changes-part-four.html

It must be over 4 years since I first uploaded the "missing" clips from the TB version for someone to make a theatrical version of TPM using the DVD as a source. That never happened so I am pleased to see this release come out.

Newsgroups! In the UK, any half decent ISP provides them free and has about a weeks retention which is more than enough if you download as something is posted.

Of course, for those people without a decent ISP, you can currently get 180GB of download for $25 which equates to arround $1 to download another fantastic piece of work by ADYWAN. Are those people who are anti-newsgroups saying that this is not worth $1?? Just asking..........

Hi Russ, remember me ? Yes, it DID happen, it just wasn't uploaded :) I've offered you many times my final products :)

I just got rid of the Windows partition on my Mac in anticipation for Windows 7 (a buddy of mine at school got 3 installs of Windows 7 Professional through the interactive media program, and he's giving me one of the installs), so I can't do anything with it now (I don't know how to do it on a Mac, sadly).

But as soon as he gets back to Chicago, I'll get W7 installed and give the fix a try.

Sadly, I don't have access to a 5.1 setup here - I'll have to wait until I go back home (next weekend) to try it out for real.

Has anyone tried the audio fix yet?

Yes, no problems here, the reuthored disc tested OK in PowerDVD. Not burned it yet.

My surround sound system is temporarily dismantled (due to a certain toddler pulling speaker stands over) so I won't be able to compare audio for a while.

Ha, I can relate.  We reorganized our living room to account for that as best we could, and one of the things we were able to do is get the rear speakers where she couldn't get to them for now.  Of course, climbing up the couch still presents a problem.
