For those people lucky enough to have Sky HD they will be showing the complete Indiana Jones movie series on August 1st 09. Is anybody planing on recording these ?. Have the hd versions been shown anywhere else , if so how good was the picture quality?.
Sci-Fi showed a HD version, but if I recall correctly they had a different matte in a scene.
Would be interesting to see if the change remains.

So did the SkyHD versions show up on newsgroups? Couldn't see anything on binsearch, but I know they sometimes get 'funky' file names.
So are these just lower quality broadcasts of the HD masters Lucasfilm sent to Lowry and harddrives and had them clean up?
What difference does the PAL broadcast make when it comes to the quality of the image.
Why is there still HD broadcasts in NTSC and PAL when i thought HDTV's and Blu RAY players had the ability to play back 24fps? Which made the idea of pal and ntsc moot, as i have been told.
The only difference now is what region locked content in the players, when will broadcast standards catch up.

Raiders leaked quite some time ago. Everyone is still waiting for TOD and LC
There are 720p re-encodes for both ToD and LC knocking around (and they pre-date the Sky broadcasts), so the original HDTV caps must have appeared at some point.

I would be interested in the HD version that has the theatrical colors of raiders of the lost ark and does not have that added cgi shot, or any of lowrys color correction and dvnr.
The one that oddly had no cuts but the tv audio that was censored that would have to be replaced, had print scratches and lots of grain but really look liked a film.
Wonder if it was taken from a 35mm release print.
