Glad to see this thread has really revived in the last few weeks, it was really slow going for while.
ROTJ might just be the most exciting of the whole series to see edited up. ANH and ESB are just polishing up masterpieces, after all, and the prequels will just be very different to see changed. ROTJ's changes are shaping up (provided some of these big ideas are both feasible and used) to be spectacular.
How about a more dynamic camera movement?

yup I know. i just smudge the empty areas just to look good. i did not texture work ;) the point is in the camera movement ;)

This definitely needs to be presented when Ady gets around to do ROTJ:R - would a shot from behind the shuttle work as well (immediately after the shot in your GIF) - so we see Luke going towards the rebel fleet? And we can also have some fighters moving away from the DSII because she's gonna blow.

Nice idea for the moving angle of the camera perspective. That would definitely add more life to that particular shot!

Based one ESB's executor i tried to "fix" some of the ROTJ's executor.
as you will see the props and set is different. I dont know how hardcore can we push that shot to be th same with the ESB.
for now i leave it.

Actually, if the tower is to be at the top of the DS2, I think I would prefer that appearance, with the tower coming out of a depression or hole like that. I could see guns on top of all of the "buildings" as a means of protecting the tower, as well as the much larger exhaust port (being that this would roughly be the same location as the exhaust port used to to destroy DS1).
This would almost be fitting in a way, in that it would almost be like a dare for anyone to try the same trick again, as well as showing that the Emperor at least thought THIS one out (hmm, if we build another one, we gotta do something about that exhaust port... hey, I know! I can plop my butt right on top of it! And surround it with lots of guns! NO ONE will be able to defeat me now! Wait a minute, I have someone on call waiting...)

Lovely work as usual, Angel. However, I have to disagree with your suggestion about the lines being wrong. The Death Star II is 900km in diameter. There is absolutely no need for spherical contour lines in the manner you suggest, as the surface area is incredibly vast and relatively small buildings would not converge in such a manner. A much wider view might show converging lines, but not on the scale of the tower as you are suggesting.
I got your point. Im always to show things a bit more stylized and visually understandable.
Either way a 900 km station would be wide enough that is surface would be visible from tower's windows.

I had been fed up with Endor...Ewoks...timeline stuff....but I think I've found some new ideas that might work...we'll see ;)

I agree! I would even say that is more "Han Solo-esque" than anything else in the official cut of ROTJ, even when he actually says the line "convenient" on Tatooine!

Something that bugs me about that scene is (and I know how daft it sounds) why is there a big open, barely fenced off bottomless pit in the room?
What is it for (other than chucking old bosses down when they threaten estranged family members)?
Would it be possible to cover it and have Vader chuck the floor plates around ESB style thus exposing the hole or maybe have the pit opened as a result of the damage caused by Vader cutting the footbridge?
