AMEN TO THAT, Monroville.
A wise man once said that only if you consider the impossible, you can achieve the impossible.
But that man is no more. Consumed by greed and wealth.
-- R.I.P. George Lucas --
These things tend to remind me of an old story. A story of rebellion. A story of children who had to fight their own father after he turned to evil and became what he swore to destroy.
Figuratively, we all are those children. We are leading the rebellion against our evil father who turned to evil and we too have the choice too either fight him or join him. We can forget what Star Wars really was about and just go with the flow. Buy crappy DVD's, laugh at Jar Jar's jokes, buy Yoda-kicking-ass-with-his-lightsaber action dolls. Or we can support what Ady's doing. The restoration and resurrection of the original Star Wars and the attempt at salvaging the horrible prequel trilogy.
Fans already had one victory. Letting George release the originals on DVD. A big joke, I know. But he did it. And he swore never to do it.
I'm pretty sure that George has heard of Revisited. Does he care? Probably not. But do we care? That's what counts. Lucas' biggest dream is to have only his versions of Star Wars remain. But that can change. And it will change. It must change. I'm not showing this crap to my kids.
"Daddy, why doesn't R2 just fly out of there?"
"Because he's tired, dear. No more tough questions for daddy."
Well... This bickering is probably pointless since everything pretty much has already been said about this.
Ady, you've done an AMAZING job. I and all the other fans owe you SO MUCH.
I'm as much an Adywan fan as I am a Star Wars fan now. And that means a lot!!
