JasonN, you mentioned your fanedit of AOTC in the Prequel Radical Idea Redux thread, and after reading some reviews, I decided to check it out. Downloading it right now. I'll let you know what I think when I've seen it.
^PM'd!!

Just in case the chappy or chapette who uploaded these as trnts onto a popular site is lurking around here Episode II is in fact Episode III duplicated and mislabeled.
Slim chance that said person is wandering around here but one never can tell.

Ook. You mean me? From the d-noid?
Are you talking about the avi's or the dvd's?

The avi's Sluggo.
You are right, Bingowings. I downloaded TotR and it turned out to be TBKR. Does anyone know where I can get TotR? It would be much appriciated!
balls. I don't know how that happened. I'll double-check and reup.
(but it won't be until tonight)
This is a job for Superguitarfan!
Just so everyone knows, there are now DVD-5 versions of all three edits at fanedit.info
(thanks goes to AvP for making and uploading them).
Cool. Is there any headway on a torrent of the DVD versions?
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
Bingo, I don't know what happened to your copies, but the ones up at demonoid are the right ones. Ep II and III are different filesizes, and I just redownloaded the torrent to make sure the Ep II was the right one and it is.
I tried again last night and it was still showing a mismatch I'll try again later and let you know.
Maybe it's not yours but someone else's uploading which is the problem.
Scratch that.

JasonN said:In my view, the Death Star only "worked" because seeing it at the end of EP3 was such a mindbendingly "HUH??!" moment that your brain had to mentally shut down in order to comprehend the logic behind it being there:
"So let me get this straight, Mr. Lucas... it takes the Empire 17-18 years in order to complete the first Death Star... yet it only takes them 2-3 years to rebuild it after Luke Skywalker destroys it... yeah George, that's complete bullsh*t."
but they hadnt finished the death star in ROTJ yet though
also its easier to build something when you have built it before
and if there was anything salvageable from the first death star they could use that for a foundation

Presumably the machinery used to build the first one still existed after it's destruction (it wasn't built in the Yavin system after all) but the time scale is still an issue.
Other than that nothing could have survived that explosion to be salvaged, the thing was blown to glitter.
what they did is took each piece of "glitter" and and molded them together and in 2-3 years..VOILA new death star LOL

I'd love to see a torrent of the DVD versions.

If there's going to be a torrent of the DVD versions, I won't be able to make them since my upload speeds are terribly slow - if someone else wants to make them, that would be superb.
I'd do it if I knew how.
EDIT: Done.
I had no idea it would be that easy.
I have it on good authority that the 3 dvd9s are now seeding somewhere demonic.
Hmm..
How authoritative is your authority?
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
Don't question my authority!! -Cartman
How sure was Indy about that carving of the Ark in the catacombs in the Last Crusade? Pretty sure.
