The weekend of the 26th I'm going to Ottawa so if I do get around to doing new covers it'll have to be during the next dew weekends. Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

Hey, I'm in Ottawa... nice to see some fellow Canucks on here (seems like 98% of all forum members are from the UK).

BTW, like everyone else, I'm digging those DVD covers... very nice.

What I find hilarious is that anything bad about ESB is Lucas' fault, but anything good is Kershner's.

Now you are catching on! It is too bad Kersh was powerless to stop Lucas from meddling with his movie!! :P

I believe Ady was touching up the scenes to remove the footprints from around where the explosion happened.

You are kiddin, right?

No, Ady really has removed the footpri--- oh, that's not what you're talking about.  Pretty sure the ":P" means he's kidding. ;-)

Does anyone have a nice big picture of chewbacca with his wookiee bow blaster. I need a good picture of him and I cant find one on google aside from pictures of the ROTS chewie.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Hey Adywan, frequent lurker, infrequent poster here...

Anyway I came across this site and thought I'd point it out to you, they have some nice hi-res shots that might be good for reference, if nothing else...

Unfortunately you do have to pay but its relatively cheap...

Just search for "Star Wars"

Also quite handy for those making DVD covers (that's how I found it)

can't you shut that chicken up?

I am saying that their isnt really any pictures in the movie period that really focus on chewbacca.

It's not bad editing.  It's seeing the same event twice from different viewpoints.  There are some movies completely built around that premise.  How else can you follow both the probe droid and Luke at the same time?  Split-screen?

"Split-screen" did you say?....lol

Why they didn't do that in the first place is a mystery! ;)

Don't worry; I'm sure Janskeet will fix it in ESB:R:R.

I gotta disagree with this.  It seems to be two different probes represented by filming one landing at different angles.  This was just a cost-cutting measure by LFL.

There is also the Star Wars Archives forum, which is free.

Btw, Adywan is working from a high-resolution copy of the SE/DVD-version from 2004, which was aired on a HD TV channel in Germany a few years ago. So he has already access to snapshots from the entire movie at 1920x817 (without the black borders)

Sure, but Ady flipped the reverse shot, so now its even more obvious that they are the same explosion.

Wow, no Eddie Izzard fans here?  I'm surprised - no one got the "Cake or death" reference.

Sorry ChainsawAsh, I haven't checked the thread in a few days or else I woulda been right there with ya.

For the record, it's a Lee Hazlewood reference as well. ;)

I made a new poster in support of the revisted. It is inspired by some of the posters that Simonz guy makes.

I am still tweaking it but enjoy it. I will make a landscape version soon with more going on.
