I find the Revisited crawl text to be too orange for my taste. I don't like where Adywan chose the music cues to happen either, I liked it to happen right at the title of the movie, not right at the episode number.

He changed the music cue to the way it originally was in 1977 - adding the episode number and subtitle in screwed it up.  Watch the GOUT - the crawl text comes in at the same time Ady's does.

I don't care what was originally intended, I want it to be the way I want it.

Janskeet, I have given you the benefit of the doubt for a very long time.  I sent you a copy of Revisited, and I even sent your friend a copy when I told you I wouldn't because I felt bad about fucking up the Zip code the first time.  I've put up with your shit because I figured you were new and just hadn't quite figured things out yet.  I've watched many members of the forum put you on their "Ignore" list because of your immaturity and overinflated sense of entitlement, which is entirely undeserved - but I didn't do that because, as I said, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.  I thought that maybe, just maybe, everyone was being unfair to the new guy just because he was new and hadn't gotten used to the place yet.

But this post has done it for me.  I know your next post will be "I was just joking!  It was a joke!  Haha please like me!" - but the thing is, it wasn't a joke.  Nothing you say after this will undo that.  And you know what?  It won't matter for me, anyway ...

... because I'll never have to read anything you write ever again.  Goodbye, Janskeet.

P.S.  I don't know if the "ignore" list blocks PM's as well, but in case it doesn't, don't bother PM'ing me, because I'll delete it without reading it.

--edit--

Ah, fantastic, there was an option to block PMs.  :-)

I don't remember. It's from another DVD. I use the same bar code for all my covers. Besides, it's just a bar code, doesn't matter what it's from.

The barcode is from Batman Begins.

Considering any old mobile phone or computer with a webcam can scan barcodes these days and many people now catalogue their DVD collections via barcode scanning in various media library apps (Delicious Library being a common example, and the various copycat apps for Windows), it is probably worthwhile using correct barcodes on future custom designs if they are primarily for public consumption.

That said, what would be the appropriate barcode for the fanedit? The various Star Wars videos would make some sense (as once scanned only a few text fields would need to be changed in the library apps to correct the title and producers), though if you're going for complete realism then really no barcode would be the only option.

[It should be noted: I don't personally care - my fanedit library will be purely digital soon and I only print out custom DVD art for my own projects anyway -  so don't make any changes to YOUR OWN work purely for me. Oh, and I do love the designs! :) ]

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

Just for the record guys, he never said he wouldn't send my friend a copy or showed any resistance to the idea of sending him a copy. I double checked my PMs, I simply asked if he would send my friend a copy too and he said I suppose and that was it. I would've been gladly willing to say forget it or send him money if there was a problem. Thanks again anyways though for the DVDs ChainsawAsh.

I don't understand why we all can't accept our differnet styles here:

"I don't care what was originally intended, I want it to be the way I want it." -that's my style

"I did stuff and I left things alone. If you care then you'll find out. I refuse to outline every damn little tiny thing that I did when I friggen just uploaded a super high quality bluray version of this! You people suck." -that's Wookie Groomer's style

"You are the world's biggest douche. I hope that Adywan will report you and maybe, just maybe m0thr will ban your worthless ass once and for all." -That's vbangel's style

It seems to me the only reason you guys won't put up with me is because I don't have color corrected, high definition versions of Star Wars to
distribute to all of you. I don't ignore vbangel and other people who talk to me like him because I don't care and I still would like to hear what everyone contributes to the forum, good or bad.

I finally signed up for giganews so I could get this release, but all I can find is the PAL version. Am I doing something wrong?

"You chose...wisely."

If I were a betting man, I'd wager that Janskeet holds the record for most-blocked OT.com poster.

I havent blocked him, as he always makes my day, as hes adapting as a troll.

And, he accepts it. He's the comic releaf here.

Just dont post so much, and dont look up previous posts then ask it again, and, you know, the list could go on..and on...

Heads up to fishmanlee also.

(Until he gets at my family, then i'll burn the MF at the stake!!!)

Janskeet you are the most immature poster I have ever met on a message board. I've been nice to you this whole time, but enough is enough. You are the third person to go on my ignore list, and fishmanlee you are pushing to be the fourth.

Meh. I've heard it before. Pretty childish if you ask me, but I don't really care. Reminds me of some of the posters over at SHH

Asteroid-Man

Looks like most of the older members.

More power to em. You had it coming mate. I didn't ignore you because I am a nice guy. And they are just plain tired. Simple thing to do for people or things that bother you is to just ignore them. And they did.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

This topic is about adywan's work on EP IV. The next post by any member about anything other than this topic or its related sub-topics earns you a ban.

I'm busy these days, but not too busy for a good housecleaning. Capiche?

Where have you been, this house is a mess lol

Just curious, because I forgot, what programs/hardware do you need to burn images onto a disk, I know about the "disk burners" but I'm confused. I really want adys disk art!

The person your searching for simply does not exist

It all comes with the download of Revisited in the DVD9 version. The image burn software comes with the download as well as the disc label and many covers to choose from.

For burning images onto a disc, you need a LightScribe drive, or something like it.  Its a special disc burner that burns the data on normal or special discs, then you can flip over the special disc and burn a B&W image on the other side.  Most people around here just print out an image on an Avery label or whatever and stick it on there.  Being paranoid, I heard that the stickers can mess up the data over time, so I didn't even write on my DVD-9s of ANHR!
