Could somebody please upload that myspleen torrent here, or at least give us a link? Not everyone can get invites or be fortunate enough to have a rapidshare premium account :(

you have to be a member to use the myspleen torrent, you can't just have someone get it for you.

I know it sucks but it's the way it always is with these things.

When it first gets made public it's only available to those in the "know"

(Those who have access/understanding of the higher end of internet file sharing) Eventually this collection will be all over ThePirateBay, Demonoid, mininova etc etc.

You just have to be patient. I don't have the upload bandwidth to release this on a public tracker because of other commitments to sites/people etc.

But it's great that stuff like this is made available to people. I have the blood red edition of ED2 and came really close to spending $50 on the Japanese Laserdisc a couple of weeks ago, as I'm a huge fan of ED.

These discs rock and are worth the wait :)

On a side note, does anyone have any other Evil dead info not present on these discs? The only things I could think of were a spoof done by a kids TV show on ITV years ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38POpsYFzS8

And during the 80s/90s alot of hardcore/drum 'n bass DJ's would sample audio/music and make tracks to play at rave events. I have a few of them on some old mix audio tapes

Ah well. It'd be nice if someone could spare an invite to myspleen for me. I'm really looking forward to watching this, and I'm a good source of relatively rare materials, too.

Sorry, should have made it obvious that i actually don't have any invites for myspleen :(

Or would have gladly PM'd you one ;)

Has anyone actually made it aware they plan to release this on a public tracker sometime soon?

ED1 TC is 7+ GIGs

ED2 TC is 8+ GIGs

It's a BIG release!

I would think that that they'd both be up soon, seeing as how they're both avilable publicly anyway. Hopefully somebody can do it sooner rather than later.

The Evil Dead Treasures Collection that was uploaded to a.b.mm.horror was V1.1.

What provider do you use? I though it was only people who used the Easynews web interface that had problems with completion and required the extra PARs. I don't consider there is a need for a repost unless it was incomplete over several different providers.

I have the Evil Dead 2 discs from Myspleen; I was planning to upload them to the newsgroup in the next few days.

It was complete on Giganews. No errors, no need for pars.

Thanks a bunch (I got myself a myspleen invite).

Ridgeshark's Army of Darkness primitive screwhead edition is also very good if you just can't wait for djsmokingjam/See No Evil's version.

Glad to see everyone is enjoying the discs  :)

As well as the Army Of Darkness disc, work will soon begin on one more disc (or possibly two) focusing on Evil Dead 1, which is set to feature more rare interviews, the uncut version of The Incredibly Strange Film Show special on Raimi presented by Jonathan Ross, and much more.

Yeah RidgeShark's version is a must have!

So has any-one managed to just get the version 1.2 DVDROM folder for the ED1 Treasures collection?

Or do I have to download the 7GB ISO again from MySpleen to get it???

The version on NewsGroups was 1.1 (Or is there no point?) whats extra???

Got the myspleen torrent on hold just in case ;)

The 1.2 version contains around 500mb of additional DVD-ROM material which takes the Treasures Collection DVD up to capacity;

DVD-ROM Version 1.0 - Released 28/11/08 ( 988mb)
DVD-ROM Version 1.1 - Released 23/01/09 (1305mb)
DVD-ROM Version 1.2 - Released 09/03/09 (1791mb)

The version uploaded to spleen is the third & final release version of 'The Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection', and has only been released as a DVD DL ISO. The actual video DVD content is identical to the previous releases, it just additional DVD-ROM content. Any subsequent DVD-ROM folder releases/updates will be as a standalone disc containing just the folder.

I'd say it's worth getting as it's the last of this DVD, and the biggest.

Apparently the only differences in the project is the DVD_ROM folder,I usually(always)upload as individual files(AUDIO_TS,VIDEO_TS,DVD_ROM)it uploads faster and in this case, you would have been able to select JUST the DVD_ROM folder because you already have the VIDEO_TS for download, but because the creator wanted it this way, this is the way it is,hopefully after someone grabs this they will upload just the DVD_ROM for you, because it seems like an awful lot of ratio waste for all the rest, especially since it is all the same, and you already have  the film part of it.

So it is up to you if you want to grab the whole thing for just the DVD_ROM,or like I said, hold out and see if someone will upload just that for you.

hope this helps

Has anyone tried downloading the torrent file for v1.2, dropping the v1.1 ISO file into the download location, then forcing a manual hash check?

If you're lucky (i.e. both ISOs have been authored in the same way) 75-80% of the file will match, meaning you only have to re-download the remaining changed portion of the file.

If that works that would save you guys ALOT of ratio, and you would only be grabbing waht you didn't get off the newsgroups.

Good idea M if it works.

This is for the DVD_ROM folder for The Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection located here:
"deleted link,sorry"

I have uploaded the DVD_ROM only folder for those of you that already got the older version from the newsgroups, this way you won't have to waste all your ratio for just the DVD_ROM folder.
Everything thing else is the same(VIDEO_TS)

Hope this helps.

*I just copy and pasted my info at Spleen.

Didn't work. :-(

@AvP - one error on your cover, that particular disc was put together by See No Evil, not djsmokingjam.

Well, just took several hours to peruse the features on this puppy, and I've gotta say, I'm truly, truly stunned. First off, the movie looks better than I've ever seen it before, and so does Within the Woods. The menus are unbelievably professional and the extra features on the main disc are pretty damned awesome.

The thing that staggered me though, was the DVD-ROM folder, which packed more awesomeness into a gig and a half than I could possibly account for. I read a local paper from Detroit about Within the Woods from 1979, and saw literally 200 different cover variants for Army of Darkness alone. Thousands of images, more videos and PDF files than I can even begin to delve into and a whole lotta great audio files to boot.

Really, truly, I couldn't ask for anything more. The Evil Dead II disc was sensational for what it offered, but if the Army of Darkness set is anything like this, I really, truly believe everyone who poured the effort into this series should get whatever kind of award they give for this type of thing and more. It's an achievement above and beyond what I could have possibly expected.

Are there any plans to post ED1 v.1.2 or EDII to newsgroups. If so would it be to a.b.m.horror again?

Thanks

EDII Discs 1 & 2 - yes, a.b.mm.horror again, just as soon as I get around to it (will post in this thread).

EDI v1.2 - no plans, not from me anyway.
