I posted 5% PAR2, so 8 missing files out of 158 might be just over the limit. How many 'blocks' are you short? If you can download incomplete files for the missing RARs then you might just have enough blocks to effect a repair.

I am using MacPar on a Macintosh.

I'm not sure about the blocks, since I actually trashed the files because I didn't think I could use them.  I'll have to download them again. 

The rars that were missing on Easynews (and a couple of other places I checked) were parts 54, 73, 95, 119, 132, 136, 145, and 157.

Any chance of those getting reposted? 

Thanks for all of the help.  I'm not much of an expert on using PARs.  I just let the computer do the work (grinning).

Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone for posting information on this fan-based initiative. I have a favou to ask of anyone on the board and hope someone can help: I used easynews.com to download the edtc files and I am missing nine to complete the file. They are edtc.part54, edtc.part65, edtc.part73, edtc.part95, edtc.part119, edtc.part132, edtc.part136, edtc.part145 and edtc.part157

I did a search on the easynews site and they say these files cannot be found. Would anyone have these and would be so kind as t tell me where I can locate them (or download them)?

You guys wanna use your compression software, and try and create the file. The software will tell you how many MISSING BLOCKS you need. Then you download the PAR2 files, to fix them. The PAR 2 files take the place of 'ANY' missing parts. This way you dont have to ask people to upload certain missing parts, and anyone missing ANY part can use the PAR2 files.

I'm using EasyNews via the web interface, and i;m showing their are 22 PAR 2 files, which should equal approx 140 blocks.

The Treasures Collection is oustanding!! The laserdisc transfer is the best version I have ever seen of ED1. I have also never seen the version differences between BOTD and ED1 - very cool. Within the Woods looks good! I'm hoping for an even better copy of WTW existing someday, if the stills from the from the DVD-ROM are any indication. I really appreciate the effort put into the DVD-ROM.

Is there any chance the ED2 DVD Companion will show up on Usenet?

Hi, it is normal that when I download files, my GRABIT software puts "Article not found" in all files ?

I downloaded the .nzb file on "Binsearch", "Bintube" and "Newsleech".

Folks, in appreciation of the GREAT job all involved had making this disc, I make the following offer:

I'd be more than happy to make copies for anyone needing a disc, with the following caveats:

1. You send the blank disc. ( i don't have dual layer discs laying around)

2. You send a self addressed, STAMPED return envelope. ( i don't have time to run to the post office daily)

I'll copy the disc the day it arrives, and drop it in my local post box the next day.

By sending the blank, and sending the self addressed, STAMPED, return envelope, I dont have to run to the store and buy discs, and i dont have to stand in line at the post office buying postage.

I just got the DVD's from Griff (THANK YOU VERY MUCH)I will begin getting them ready for Spleen so keep an eye out,again Thanks to Griff for getting them here,and very fast at that,all the way from Down Under.

I am not sure if I will upload The Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection yet or not,it can be easily obtained from the newsgroups,but I might.

and as any more come in,I will get them uploaded as well,So Griff if you can keepum coming,I will get them upped.

and as far as disc art,I have no idea,you will have to ask djsmoke yourself,I do not seem to get replies from him either in the thread or PM's,so hopefully you can get a response and let me know.

Yes you are correct,in is myspleen.net,and you need to register to be able to download the torrent.

dark_jedi, if you have sent me a PM recently, I haven't got it.  The only one I've ever gotten from you was last year, which I didn't have time to reply to due to work - many apologies.

The sleeve art for the Treasures Collection was designed by See No Evil, and can be found in the DVD-ROM folder on the DVD.  There is no disc art, however.  There is also no sleeve or disc art thus far for the Evil Dead 2 Companion discs, so if anyone wants to go ahead and have a go at that, please feel free.
