If the picture on the HD file is cropped ( the black bars are cut off) then you have to re-encode the file with the matte bars added so you picture size is 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720. If the res isn't either of these sizes then the picture will shift to the top and you will have a horrible thick green bar at the bottom of the picture when playing back the AVCDHD. If your original file isn't cropped then TSMuxer is perfect to create a AVCHD. Just make sure that if the video level is 5.1 you need to change it to 4.1 in TSMuxer or you will have audio but no video.

LOL now I am just talking to myself, now I have messed with ripbot and tsmuxer,I cannot get either of them to work, tsmuxer freezes up,and when I do just a small sample it is interlaced very bad, when  try to deinterlace, the audio is waaaay out.

when I use ripbot same deal.

also can you set the file size on tsmuxer like on ripbot?if so I could not find the setting.

and I do not have the 4.1 option,it is not even showing up,can these programs work with xx.ts HD files?

becasue I would really like to make these into AVCHD's:

Child's Play
Sheena
The Gate
King Kong 1976 (I know alot of people don't like this one,but I do)
From Beyond
Night of The Creeps
Night of The Comet
The Legend of Billie Jean
Jason and The Argonauts
Candyman

I've not really played with this sort of stuff yet, but I'm guessing that tsMuxer is just a muxing utility - the clue is in the name! :)

So if your ts files are in MPEG-2, you will need to reencode to H.264/AVC format (x264 should be suitable).

Even if the ts files are already in H.264 like Howard the Duck, you will probably still need to reencode to fit on a DVD9.

Howard The Duck,I forgot about that one, this would be cool to have in HD as well,so I have to reencode these all from thier original 16-25 GB size to a DVD9 size first?

and make them x264?

shoot I still have to do some more learning then.
