So the easter egg thing sounds great, but how did you find them...just random numbers, codes, and clicking twice, maybe three times with four winks while drinking a soda and saying the word spank in a monotone voice....?

to find the easter egg you need to use the head ;)

Is there anyone that might be able to upload this to easynews perchance? It's the only way I can get hold of the DL version with our ****ty internet provider (512k connection - yuck!).

MANY thanks,

I am made of patience... I am made of patience...

I can wait for my copy of the NTSC DVD-9 to find out what the easter eggs are. I can wait for my copy of the NTSC DVD-9 to find out what the easter eggs are.

Don't tell me what they are, I'll find them myself.

Patience...

Doesn't easynews cover alt.binaries.starwars?

Easynews does carry a.b.starwars, according to http://www.easynews.com/list-all-groups.phtml.

'Printable' blank discs always look best if you can access the equipment to do that, and Adywan's red 'Death Star schematic' label design looks great printed directly onto them.

Thanks to HotRod, I just got my 'PURIST' edition, so am looking for the first two here that would also like one along with g.rev (with Ady's label art on 'direct printed' discs :) ) to say so.

By the way, will some kind soul PM me about PIFing me a copy of Ady's PAL DVD-9, and my circle will finally be complete...

Thanks Imperial fighter, looking forward to PURIST.

I'd also like to help PIF the DVD9 if anyone can kindly send me a copy (I am in the UK if that helps!).

does anyone have any time to do 'a making of: star wars revisited'...

or has it been done? (extras, test footage, etc)..

and i don't mean going back through this thread, and checking
every page for developments and chronicling them..

i mean like an interview, with footage of how it was made
etc....yes, even if it means interviewing adywan only
to get his thoughts on it...

after seeing all the work that went into it, it would
be nice to preserve the effort that went into making it also..

I think they tried, but Ady doesn't like the sound of his own voice so it makes him recording himself difficult. I'd love to see something like that, but I'm sure a lot of the test footage and such would have been lost in one of the two or three hard drive crashes.

To help get a UK PIF chain underway, I'm offering 2 x DVD-9 PAL versions on Verbatim dual layer media. If you're interested in one please PM me by 6pm GMT on Sunday 18th May. If I get more than 2 requests then I'll pick 2.

Important: Please only PM me if you intend to reciprocate the PIF chain (on good quality dual layer media such as Verbatim) to at least 3 other people.

Cheers.

Yaaaayyyyy! :-)

Thank you again, Ady! I can't wait to get this and start sharing it with everyone to whom I've already promised copies!

(. . . speaking of which -- I'll definitely be seeding a torrent once it's up. Any word on who might be making that happen?)

Take care,
Sojourn

I too will be seeding when it comes up. I also just noticed the PURIST is torrented too, I might seed it as well.

I guess I may as well post this now. I am unable to get usenet or torrents, but Adywan's mailing me a copy of the PAL DVD-9, and I'll pass it on to anyone in Australia or NZ who wants a copy (and is willing to continue the PIF chain). Please PM me. Johnny Ringo has the first spot.

I don't own an Epson, but the HP C8180 is really nice. Scans negatives and has built-in lightscribe writer.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm never buying Epson again. I had an Epson a couple years ago and it was bar none the worst printer I have ever owned!

Sorry to hear about your problems with Epson. I've had an R200 for a few years now with no complaints, other than ink is insanely expensive (like any inkjet though).

I also have the Epson R200, and I like it very much (haven't tried the disc-printing function yet, though). I also owned the Epson 740i (which I ruined with generic ink) and I've also owned the Epson C82 which was a piece of crap. I guess it depends on the model. The 740i had the best photo-printing quality of the 3.

It is amazing that you can buy a new printer for less than a new supply of ink! :-/

I'm thinking about buying an Epson scanner (the old UMax is showing its age and I have $90 in Epson credit from that ink-related class action suit). I'd like to get one that scans negatives, too. Any recommendations?
