Delayed for 24 hours. It's a bloody nightmare trying to scan in a 81 x 52 cm painting with an A4 scanner.

I hear you. Good luck getting that done, and congratulations on the impending release! This is really exciting. :-)

Take care,

Nice first post.....

Turns out I shouldn't have bothered offering. (you try to be NICE and *grumble grumble*...)

Since we should be telling people whether the ones we send to are willing to PIF to someone else afterwards, or are just looking for a handout, I figure I should tell you guys what has happened.

I said to the guy that if he can burn dual layers and is willing to send it to others after he gets his copy (the whole point of PIF), great! If not, I asked him to AT LEAST send me a dual layer disc for me to put it on. I didn't even mention the cost of materials and shipping to send it to him. I figured that was more than fair!

He says he can burn them, but doesn't have any. So then he says maybe someone who's sending ME a copy can also send me blanks to burn a copy for him!

Then he basically says "nevermind. You have discs and don't need people to send them to you." Excuse me? Has he been in my house? [even though I shouldn't need to say this] I've already told Adywan that I have TWO good dual layer discs and will need to buy another one to continue the PIF method. But this guy assumes I have lots and am looking for a handout.

If this guy wants a copy, let him go buy his own disc and download a torrent of it. He ended the whole stupid thing before it even began.

What a tool. I hope nobody gives him a copy of Ady's edit. He doesn't deserve it.

Where can I pick up a dual layer disc? I didn't see any at Wal Mart for example....Thanks....

My Wal-Mart carries them. So does Best Buy, Circuit City, CVS, my local grocery store...

They are the ones with DVD-DL on them.

Printable ones are available at your basic electronic store, most likely. Wherever they sell burners for sure.

Hope this helps,

Hey Ady! Noticed the new avatar! That wouldn't be the artwork, would it?

Looks good even at that resolution!

Regarding DL discs...

Most people recommend the Verbatim DVD+DL discs, simply because they've proven to be the most reliable and compatible of all the DL discs out there. (And don't do DVD-DL anything, as it has horrible compatibility.) Check VideoHelp.com for more information than you could possibly need. :-)

Use nothing but Verbatim DL discs. Better have a good DL burner too.

Is there anyone who'd be willing to send me a DVD-9 of the NTSC original (non-Purist) edition? I'd be more than happy to send anyone else a copy (on Verbatim DVD+DL discs) if they like.

If you can mail one out, shoot me a PM, I'd be willing to pay for shipping and the cost of the DVD+DL if necessary, and many thanks in advance.

Thanks. I've never done that before. :p Is it something I should be doing regularly? (I delete cookies sometimes)

Boy, that makes me look computer illiterate, but it's just never come up before!

Adywan, what a fantastic cover. You are so talented. Thank you for doing what is arguably the best fan edit of star wars that there ever was or will be! You da man!

Adywan, you talent never stops to amaze me. Great job on the cover, sending it to print asap. Do you plan on doing the same for the rest of the saga, once they have all been revisited?
