Just the movie is A-OK with me.

I don't care about menu or extras, I just want the best quality transfer available until Disney gives this film the proper release it deserves, if only as a Limited Edition Treasures package.

I would prefer some menu. It doesn't have to be as fancy or whatever but something basic would still be good. Can't any basic dvd burning software let you have the play movie, scene selection and then just import a still from the movie for the background? I don't see how the second disc could work without a menu (did I read correctly that disc 1 has only the movie and no other video files?). But ultimately, no menu is better than no dvd at all. I wouldn't want to wait much longer just for a dvd menu, it's the content on the disc that matters.
Someone could always take a menuless dvd and encode a copy with something basic. That's what happened with the TR47 version of the Star Wars laserdisc transfer.

I don't care about a menu, either. Frankly, at this point, I think fooling around with anything that could possibly cause another massive delay is just a bad idea. Could you please release what you have? Pretty please?

(And could someone torrent it?)

After catching up with this thread, I've decided to that I'm gonna release what I have (which is disc one, disc two is incomplete). Im currently compiling a disc now, and hope to seed it within the next two days. If someone can pass along where I can do such a thing please let me know.

Hopefully I can quickly knock out disc two, unless I completely cut out all the audio track features which is the only thing missing if I am remembering correctly.

Glad to hear it JoeyO. I think most people wouldn't mind having the movie and waiting for disc two.

The Pirate Bay or MiniNova are good places for a torrent.
If you'd rather do the direct download sort of thing (like RapidShare), I'm a big fan of MediaFire.com which lets you have an account for free.
For that you'd need to .rar and split the file into 100mb parts, but it's a nice alternative.

Hey guys, had a little mouse problem so it set me back uploading this for a couple of days.

Right now I'm splitting the movie up into RARs and then I'm going to upload it onto Media Fire.

I'm assuming it is cool to post links on here correct?

JoeyO,

Just let us know when you have it up and then everyone who is in need can contact you via PM for the information.

Sorry, no direct links on this board. You can put the links on another website and point people to it, and of course you can do whatever you want privately.

On mediafire if you are in "Extended Sharing Mode" you can get 1 link for an entire folder.

So just upload the parts, move them to a folder with a name of your choice and click share (on the folder) to get the link. Rapidshare requires separate links for every file part which is a pain.

And yes, people will have to contact you for further information when it's ready.

Hey Joey..

A couple things. One, thank you for the quick response to my PM this morning.

The second thing though...there's a little problem. "SOTS.part26.rar" is missing. This is verified by the fact that the list contains 45 files, but the last file in the list is "SOTS.part46.rar". Forty five files, and the last one in the list is #46. One shy, and #26 is the guilty party. :)

If you could upload rar #26, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, we're all gonna be rather stuck. Thank you.

Sorry about missing part 26 (thats what happens when you copy paste items really fast). It should be up in about 15 minutes.

Also guys, let me know if you have any issues. I tried it on a couple of players in my house and it seems to load fine. It was compiled with DVD Lab, so any feedback or issues please post them.

I'd like to point out, there is an issue with the subtitles, that would have taken me a really long time to fix. They are correct, but off by a couple of seconds.

Just randomly checking around, the subtitles look a lot more messed up than a few seconds off.

Maybe we, as a comminity, should offer to help JeyO out in correcting the problem/issue.

I checked through the beginning credits, thats how I discovered it was off. I tried to offset it by a couple of seconds, hoping to fix it, but I assume the credits get progressively worse as the film goes on. For that I am sorry.

As always, any feedback is appreciated.

I think the important question is, what was the source for the subtitles?

I think they're most likely from something PAL.
If so they need to be retimed from 25 fps to 23.976 fps or you can't sync them with an offset.

There's software that quickly and easily does that if it is the case.
