From my experience with burning dual-layer discs, they are somewhat unreliable. I almost never have a burn fail, but the few times it happened, it was with dual-layer media. In fact, 2 out of a package of 5 failed during burning. Also, I generally use Verbatim, and scan my discs after burning using Nero disc speed. My burner does an exceptional job with Verbatim discs. However, dual-layer discs, even Verbatims, do not fare well when scanning - error rates are substantially higher. I just wanted people to consider this when deciding which version to burn. I myself am looking forward to the DVD-9 version of Adywan's release, but I almost never use DVD-9s. It would be a shame to lose the extras that Adywan is creating, but I think sometimes reliabilty is sacrificed when using DL discs.
Back to the main topic, Adywan, I'm glad to hear that you have solved your computer woes. It's too bad that some people are giving you a hard time over this project. I'm pretty sure none of them have half the talent that you do. I'm definitely waiting anxiously for the DVDs.
Burn at a slower speed or buy a new burner. I burn to DVD-DL discs all the time and never have errors on disc.
