Why not ask me, as I posted it. I did say non of the pics are in their original size. In saying that tho my pics is only 1013x690.

Ughh...
This is why I only distribute my projects in disc image (.img) format with an .sfv for verification. Sorry that you downloaded it somewhere that way. The DVD-ROM portion is a very integral part of the project. I can send you a REAL copy of the entire DVD if you'd like...

I found that vhs cover, color corrected it a bit and made a dvd cover. I just noticed that the resolution isn't as high as most covers here...
It's the first time I made a cover, so I just got the resolution from a google search... but I think it'll be good enough.
So if none of the more experienced artists here make one, you can find my cover here.

Both are generic StarWars covers, I didn't take the time to edit them with new text etc, I just removed VHS etc references.

Some comments from a personal point of view:
- The Star Wars logos on the front and spine would look nicer in a silver metallic style.
- Personally I would like to keep the UK "U" certification green triangle, to match official UK releases. (I know it's then illogical because this is Region 0 NTSC!) But I can put that back in myself.
- Remove "Special Widescreen Edition" - that's an old-fashioned logo used on letterboxed VHS releases.
- The running time is wrong due to the PAL/NTSC differences.
- Remove the text about close-captioning.
- Remove "hi-fi stereo" - that's a VHS term.
- Add in more DVD-specific stuff. (I'm not really sure how this should look, but I will have a think and check out some official DVDs.)

Just a quick update on how this one's going. The front of course looks somewhat like the image above. I just need to decide on six screen-shots for the back, which for the life of me I can't decide on. Can't wait to see DarthBo's cover get going. Moth3r for some reason I can't see your mock-up, and the link doesn't work for me. Hope nobody else is having this issue.

Has anyone thought about setting up a place to put all the covers we make? With almost 200 pages of thread to sift through, it's kinda rough getting some of the best, but buried covers by now. I remember somebody looking for Coov's leather-set a little while ago and nobody uploaded it. The way things are now you have to rely on people to upload a particular set you're looking for, just for you. A Rapidshare account would work nicely, as the small file sizes would allow people without premium accounts to snag the set they're looking for. Or if nothing else, perhaps a section of the forums dedicated to cover sets, maybe a user starts his own thread to preview all his work. I dunno I think with a monster of a thread like this, it may warrant consideration.
I know I have lots of sets from different people, organized by user name, so I could contribute long lost sets and such.

and yeah it would be cool to have a website for all the artwork that has been created. It would be a lot of work though. Not sure who would be up for it

The first is similar to the 20th Century Fox logo like this:
but with "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" in a box below the logo.
The second one I'm lookng for is something like this:
but instead of a wireframe globe, I want the elliptical "map of the world" type logo.

i would recommend anyone who does cover art to download this pack. It has hell of a lot of studio logos with it too
