Outstanding stuff Adywan - thank you for taking the effort to post such a long clip btw - it made my day!
So many positives! The red R2 before they enter Docking Bay 94 was a stroke of genius
Cantina stuff all good - especially the lack of blood on the severed arm - makes more sense!

What else? - I for one am glad you kept the SE Millenium Falcon exit from the docking bay: I always loved that shot - not everything in the SE was pants!
Vaders lights - hellfire, I cant imagine how long it took you to do that for the whole film, but it was completely seamless - brilliant.

Just - brilliant. Thanks again.

seen quite a few of these shots before, still not convinced by the star destroyer going into hyperspace next to the death star. generally all good stuff though.

The video runs 4% fast because it is PAL.

And you can prolly get a codec for wmp/mpc/etc. at this Sourceforge page if you need one for XviD.

I’m from the UK and yes I don’t want to exceed the download limit for this month.

Thanks.

Yeh i think i'll be trimming a few frames from that shot

Oh yeah, Bravo! Hey, are those the photoshop subtitle layers I sent you a long time ago on Greedo?

yes they are. I can thank you enough for sending me those. Saved me a lot of time.

I did notice one small oversight. On the shot where threepio says "lock the doors, artoo", R2's light is still the original version.

a lot of the shots are still the original version of R2s lights but just recoloured. Its such a quick shot of the light i didn't do anything with it.

Well I’ve downloaded two so far haven’t seen as of yet. But now I have an issue with part 3 the link is not the same as the first two and now I’m starting to feel a little uncomfortable because when I first clicked on it I was getting news reel videos of (National Treasure part 2) and so on.

Okay, now that I’ve downloaded

Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clilp rar 1- megaupload
Mos Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clilp rar 2- megaupload

Do I have to reformat the name of each file or do I select the Windows Media file and then look for the appropriate file or program in Windows Media to play the first part of Mos (Eisley MPEG2 AC3 clilp rar 1- megaupload)?

There are 2 different links for part 3. any one of them will do. You don't have to rename anything. Just make sure that all 3 files are in the same place. you will need winrar if you don't already have it. You can get the trial version here:
winrar
click on winrar 3.71 at the top of the page to download it.

once you have winrar installed then just click on "mosclipnew.part1.rar" and let winrar extract the file. You will end up with a file named "mos clip new2.mpg" just open this file with windows media player and you can view it

I love your editing on the Greedo shot. The clip was awesome. Now I really can't wait for the release. BTW, a friend of mine can't get enough of your "1.0" version clip. He showed it to every SW fan he knows. *LOL* Thanks!

Okay I’ve applied the following, I selected Windows Media and I got this message.

“This file has an extension that is not recognized by (Windows Media Player), but the player may still be able to play it. Because the extension is unknown by the Player, you should be sure that the file comes from a trustworthy source.

Do you want to the Player to play the file?
Don’t as me again for this extension.
Yes NO”

So what do I do now?

Thanks.

Are you sure that you're opening the "mos clip new2.mpg" file? WMP should play MPG files with no problems at all. If you can't see the file extentions, the file's icon should look like WMP's icon, or the the program that opens your media file.

“Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.”

For Pete’s sakes, is there anyway of playing this, file on this ancient computer of mine.

I feel like I’m stuck in Ground Hog Day living over some dreadful downloading error on this naff computer of mine. I must be getting close to viewing the file, I must be.

Okay I’m going to try using the Power DVD and see if that plays the file!

Yes the file looks the same as the file that adywan told me to download (7.1).

I must be missing a vital step here I mean lacing up a 35mm projector was more easy for me 9 years ago than trying to work out the computer language. But I have to start somewhere and learn how to use this 21st century, technology.

Thanks.

adywan

Which, (Windows) you’re going laugh at this. I’m using an old Compaq Deskpro computer from the 1990’s I think?

It’s got (XP millennium).

Thanks.

Jeditemple...I feel sorry for you man. It seems you're the only one who hasn't seen the clip yet.....Don't worry about it. By the time you get it sorted, Ady will be finished, and then you can watch the film in whole for the first time.

Is a pretty cool clip. I just love the sound of the whole thing. You can really hear the music. And the subtle dialog "be careful Artoo"---Love it!!
Good job Ady man...Good job!

My one and only niggle is (and that's coz I'm probably not used to seeing it) is the Star Destroyer after leaving Tattooine. Just seems to be very close and sitting there. Dunno, I'll have to watch it a few more times.

Still....bloody good job man!

well you should have no problem playing this file with windows millenium. i have an old laptop with windows 98 on it and it plays mpeg2 files fine. make sure its the file that is 256mb in size. just right click on the file, select properties and you will see what size it is. if it is only about 90mb then you are trying to play one of the rar files . it has to be the mpg file that has been unpacked from the rar files.

You need to have all three parts in order to playback the entire file. If your player is not playing it back, then try downloading VLC player - www.videolan.org (I think) - which will play it back. If you've managed to extract from 2 parts, it WILL not playback giving you the corrupt file message.

Ady, marvellous job so far. Greedo now looks real rather than a mask with a moving snout. Enjoyed the extra clip too...the little movement as the Tantive IV is hit gives the explosion more gravitas. I've not come across the judders or freezes that others have been reporting but maybe I was enjoying the clips too much to really notice properly! Can't wait to see the whole lot now...

Thanks guys for the feedback and yes I do feel a little left out here, everyone on the site’s probably watched the videos be now.

Here’s a POV from my desk top to show what the (properties) of the file looked like, please pay no attention to the mess of the desk top, those files and programs have been added in the last day now. Its like “Houston, we have a problem”…

Gotcha, but part three, made me, feel a little edgy, so once I click on part three how do I go about downloading the file? The layout is different from that last two.

Thanks, and hopefully LOL I’ll be able to view the videos within the next 40 minutes or so.

Again thanks for helping me out here.

LMAO I almost passed out with laughter with that comment you made. It’s a long but sort story that I’m slowly analyzing the differences in (loudness) between (Armageddon and Transformers) I doubt I’ll be finished with that until next sometime year.
