I know he wasn't banned, but Zion did say that the situation was already "fixed" when ZigFried was talking about coming back in his "Goodbye For Good" thread. To me, that implies that he won't be let back.

I know he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but I always got the impression that he didn't realize how he was irritating people until it was too late.

Since Zig is apparently back, will he continue this project?

That clip was brilliant, this is one of the best things that has ever been on this site in my opinion. I really wish it would continue.

Just curious... why were both of ZigFried's threads locked? I read the forum rules in the "Edits and Preservation" thread, and it didn't appear as though he violated any of the rules.

Aside from curiosity, I'm also asking to make sure I don't mistakingly make a similar mistake myself at some point in the future.

Probably because of his leeching attitude. Several months ago he posted a message saying he'd gotten everything he'd wanted from this site so he was leaving. Then a few days ago he reappeared asking for some things (quite abruptly too, imo). On top of that, Paint Wars, which a lot of people loved, was on again off again depending on his hourly mood.

Basically, I think Zig has burned a few bridges around here by acting like a child and appearing to demand things without giving much back in return. I know he asked for things in those other threads, but it's how he asked it coupled with his history.

ZigFried - You're back, and it's summer time (no more school). Come on - we know you can crank out all of A New Hope in three months at the rate you were going before. Please?

Just as a heads up, I've resumed working on the video version of this. Shouldn't be too long now that I've finally got rolling again

Okedoke, editing and animating done. Currently trying to produce a decent video file. Will perhaps do a dvd version as well, with picture and audio of the highest quality, to make this release all the sillier It'll all be out soon.

This is for Ziggy if he's still around: Please consider picking up this project again. It's such a crappy but yet excellent one, and deserves more than the eight-something minutes of video gotten out of it.

I played the youtube version at my birthday film marathon and it was very well received.

If ZigFried is completely uninterested in this, I think it would be cool if someone else picked it up. They should continue in their own style, of course, but only for a few minutes of film time and then lay it down for someone else to continue.

It would be sad if it just ended here.

Well, finally, I managed to get a torrent up on the Pirate Bay. I'm not sure I'm allowed to post a link to it, but the torrent's called "Paint Wars DVD [PAL]". Should be easy enough to find, even for those droids in your archive.

It is up on demonoid now as well under the same name (not same tracker though).

You know that could make for a great project if there's enough interest. with a movie that well known. split it into say 40 pieces and different people take charge with their own visual style. then reassemble the film with audio later on. it'd take someone to oversee the project I guess.

As for Paint Wars, I'll grab a copy and take a look later on. Should be interesting.

Sure, But i wouldn't want to volunteer anyone. they'd have to really want to do it - and have time to devote to it.

What would people think of trying something like that?

And I hate to be a pain, but is anyone seeding this right now? - so close to complete but I see no seeders. I grabbed it from pirate bay. Please don't think I'm being impatient. Just curious.
