Thanks for letting me (and the rest of the forum ) know (PM next time please!)

I was aware of several of those already, but thanks for the rest. You actually missed a few too

I don't have a definitve list of all the subs added I'm afraid. As I've explained before these are not subtitles in the traditional sense. They are 'burned in' and added one by one in FCP.

Has anyone spotted any further mistakes?

I finally found the time to sit down and finish watching this last night.

Projects like this - as I think I said in the Building Empire thread - make me proud to be associated with this community. The genuine affection that Jambe has for the film is evident all the way through his documentary.

I'd be very interested to hear comments on it from LFL!

Thanks Moth3r, I really appreciate that.

In answer to a question posted recently:

I managed to track down the owner of the 8mm 'Yuma' film footage after a tip-off from a forum member who knew one of the guy's acquaintances. This acquaintance was unable to contact the owner of the film but he gave me enough info (a full name) for me to find him myself. I was delighted to hear back from him and so pleased that he was willing to make such a fantastic contribution to 'Returning to Jedi'.

Jambe, dude...just watched Building and Returning over the weekend, and had to heap accolades upon you. Excellent, enjoyable work...I thank you for it. Two more fine additions to the collection.

Complete neebie to this forum here: Howdy! Saw parts of this on YouTube and just had to try to hunt down the entire thing - AMAZING work! So how can I get myself a copy - I read that Meedermow was doing copies for us folks in the UK - is this still the case? How can I contact him (can't seem to see a PM function on this forum - probably just being stupid)? If he can't help, is anyone else able to get me a copy? Building Empire would also be GREATLY appreciated.

I've had a while to digest RTJ. What else can be said? Bloody brilliant is all I can say, and I'm an American who wouldn't normally say such a thing! I have to say that Jedi has always been #3 on my OT list (I agree with your Harrison Ford quote about the teddy bear ending). However, I can honestly say that I have a little bit more affection for this film now. Your knowledge and the depth of material you were able to acquire still blows my mind. How the hell do you know all of this?! I, like most people watching this, learned an incredible amount. I'm really looking forward to your SW project. Like others here, I am proud to be a member of a group that includes such talented people as yourself. Your work amazes and inspires. End of story. Thank you!

It's not really a review, but here are some of my favorite parts...

Lightsaber!!!!!

Sandstorm

Yuma (unbelievable!)

Pruneface (had no clue)

Thanks MoveAlong. Hearing that from someone who's projects I admire is pretty damn cool. I am a big fan of your menu work too. Perhaps we should collaborate sometime.

To be honest, I am looking forward to the Star Wars project too. Goodness knows how I am going to top 'BE' and 'RTJ'. I also have the job of trying not to step on ocpmovie's toes too much. It is certainly going to be interesting.

So you really are going to tackle Star Wars next? You are to be commended. I know it will be great without being too much like Deleted Magic.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

Hey Scully,

I am always happy to hear good feedback!

There is more of that Yuma footage, but those were definitely the best parts.

Jambe, do you know if anyone ever seeded the Time & Again capture that I sent for use in Returning to Jedi? I don't know if that's even out there. I'm assuming it's not?

It's not out there yet. I was just wondering if it's something that Babyhum could release, but I know he has a lot on his plate at the moment.

Maybe I'll see if the person who digitized it for me wants to release his capture of it. I was sent a DVD of it, so I know it exists.

I've just been contacted by a guy from Universal :

"I am a Writer/Director for Universal Entertainment. If you are ever in Florida or
California and would like to see the studios... Please let me know.

I must congratulate you on your labors of love. They look absolutely
terrific. You must be a walking encyclopedia of all things Imperial.
Hopefully someone will take notice and say "hey this guy needs to be in
charge of the Lucasfilm archives" (or something like that)."

Quite chuffed about that one.
