Help: looking for... Reckless (1984 - Aidan Quinn)

I’ve been desperately trying to find this movie on laserdisc. This movie was never released on dvd. I have two copies of it on VHS (1 better quality than the other). I would really like to do a laserdisc --> dvd transfer of this movie. It is one of my favorite movies in my collection.

If you google it, you will probably get tons of links to Bryan Adams - Reckless (1984) which is not what I’m looking for.
I’ve looked on half.com, ebay, and googled used laserdisc stores. I’m hoping somebody may own a copy of it on laserdisc, know somebody who has it, or knows where to purchase it.

Here is some more info about the movie
UPC: 027616042163 (Laserdisc release)
Out of Print Date: 01/01/1999

Rebellious footballer Johnny, falls for cheerleader Tracy. They come from opposite backrounds; she’s from a comfortable well off family, his is poor and broken. Tracy already has a boyfriend but he acts like a jerk, so Johnny has to win Tracy’s heart - something she seems reluctant to let him do.

Shame - though VHS->DVD would be better than nothing.

Top scene in a generator room between Quinn and Hannah if I recall...

Hell yeah, I'll be more than happy to wait for the LD of it

Give me an idea of how much it will cost me once/if you locate it

I will be sharing this one back out for those on this forum that are interested in the movie.

Many thanks in advance,

I didnt' get the one that was on ebay because I was away from my house when the auction ended. Somebody outbid me by my highest bid of $20

Does anybody else know where I can buy this laserdisc??
I'm going to contact the person who won the auction and see if he will be willing to do a laserdisc to dvd capture for me and send me a disc; then I would put together a nice menu and maybe a few extras and then share out.

http://www.laserblazer.com/ These guys have been around since the good old days and still deal in Laserdiscs.
They don't have it listed in stock currently, but you could call them and maybe they will keep an eye out for a copy?

Uh huh.  You'll get banned with that kind of talk mister - not least since a widescreen TV rip is already on several torrent trackers and easily found without having to shill $20.

I recently also got a full resolution dvd capture of it (not the xvid encode). Only problem is it is letterboxed; I'm guessing because of how the dvd recorder captured it (not my capture). But I fixed it by cropping it and making it look exactly like the xvid encode. I also have official movie scan pictures I bought.

I might put some work into this project if I ever get any free time. This is the first time I've visited this forum in months :(
