Wanted: Isolated Score for the Prequels

 (Edited)

I’ve been watching my new EditDroid DVDs Sluggo sent me, and I really enjoy the Isolated Score that comes with each movie.

Now I’d like something new:

An Isolated Score for the Prequels.

As much as I like the OT music, I also seem to enjoy the music from the PT as well, because it’s from the same composer. I’ve got all six soundtracks on my computer, so I’ve proven this.

I’d like to make this set myself, but there’s one major problem: My computer will NOT cooperate with video files, except SWF. So I need someone to make this set not just for me, but for anyone who likes JW’s music. And with people on this site editing the Prequels themselves, I don’t see why this couldn’t be done.

Just make sure it’s as good as the OT ISOMIX…

Well the problem is that only the complete score for TPM was released. I'd still like to see it.

The prequels contain a lot of tracked music. This means that although all the music Williams composed for these films was never released it may be possible to construct isolated score tracks. The Episode I "Ultimate Edition" soundtrack is comprised of 2 CDs that feature basically an isolated score cut into audio tracks. Someone who has that soundtrack and the ability to do some decent sound editing should be able to put together an Isolated Score for Episode I quite easily. The other two might be quite hard if not impossible.

I'm surprised that there isn't an offical soundtrack release for the other two films?!?

II and III are very, very incomplete. Check out JWFan for tons of info and discussion about this.

Very curious: EP2 Ultimate Edition Soundtrack petition
According to a reliable source from John Williams Fan website the 2CD set of the Attack of the Clones Soundtrack is 'completely finished'... but Lucasfilm refuses to release it! The CD has around 40 + minutes of extra material mostly from the beginning of the movie. It does exist and it was about to be released very early-on but Lucasfilm said no to it.

Ingo Sucks, you'll be happy to know you don't need video to tackle this, as its essentially an audio project. All you need is copy of the audio track from the dvd's to align the music tracks to, and a capable audio editing program - and maybe a copy of something like ifoedit. As you're already playing the soundtracks on your computer I can't see any issue stopping you from having ago yourself.

I've heard that the Ep I Ultimate Edition Soundtrack didn't sell up to expectations, so they cancelled the Ep II Ultimate Edition and have no plans for a Ep. III Ultimate. Its too bad. Because for all the problems with the prequels, the music was pretty good.

This is really suprising as the rest of the prequel marketing really gave the classic trilogy the shaft. The prequels get a bonus disc in the DVD release each while the classic trilogy had only one disc for the whole set. Each prequel had its own Visual Dictionary while the classic trilogy had all 3 movies crammed in one book. I'll never figure out LFL.

ISOMIX is the name of a fan editor so you may want to change the threads name to Isolated Scores: The Prequels, I looked in as I thought he just did the prequels

The idea was kick around I'm sure but it is a fantastic idea as the best thing from the PT is the score.

But what about Jar Jar? He's the ultimate alien sidekick (who's a sex machine to all the chicks).
