"order" sounds to me a lot like buying and I see no reference anywhere on your site, that these edits could be a violation of copyright.
Still you made some interesting edits as it seems. Have you ever thought about uploading them as torrent?

Boon,

Couldn't think of a better word than 'order,' but NO these are not to buy. They are in the PIF system.

On the subject of violation of copyright, I hadn't thought, and shall update the site accordingly soon.

And I don't do them as torrents, as I cant upload them myself as I have very low speed internet.

P.S- Got yur email, and replied!

Just say something like, "If you'd like to request a copy of one of these DVDs..."

Because as it stands, "order" does make it sound like you're selling the DVDs. Anyways, sound like some cool edits...

Sure there is a better word or phrase... TRADE or even FREE but order is a VERY VERY VERY bad idea...

Interesting edits there.

Although why are Trek II and III not Phase II episodes when all the other movies are?

Its just the way I did them. I was still a bit edgy when I first started, so I chose to take footage for credits, rather than make my own credits.
Kinda like them that way now

I distribute them myself, but they shall be available on MySpleen very soon.

from what I see, there is no change on his website. Still everything to "order"

I asked for another change via email a week ago, because you say on your website that YOU created KIRKLESS GENERATIONS... well, not that I have any rights on that title or on the movie... but, please correct that, just to be a nice guy and not steal the work from others and claim it as your own.

Read closer, Boon. His edit bears no resemblance to yours, either in title or in edit. The title of his is "Kirk Lives Generations" and the edit follows accordingly.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Star Trek: Kirk Lives Generations

I chose to make this 'fix' for several reasons. The main reason was that in general, people hated the way Captain Kirk was killed at the end of Star Trek: Generations. Therefore, I decided it was time someone rectified this mistake.

I had already made Kirkless Generations, which showed what the story would have been like if Captain Kirk wasn't in it at all, and the 'Bring Back Kirk' campaign had released a trailer showing what would happen if Captain Kirk returned from the dead. But, I wanted to see Star Trek: Generations, in its full splendor. All I wanted to see, was Captain Kirk live at the end of it. Was that too much to ask?

This is from his website. I think I read quite close, Rb, didn't I?

My mistake! Sorry 'bout that. Don't I look like an ass now...

Of course, it is entirely posible that someone else had attempted this before the CBB.

No problem, RB, Ijust know what i read...

I contacted Dan already about that and he said it was just a mistake and he will correct it assap. That was a week ago.
And what a coincidence this would be... another Star Trek fanedit, with Kirk is not in it that has the same title... I wouldn't think so.
I don't want to argue here about this for a long time, because I am actually not very p*ssed, I just would like this to be corrected.

The term 'order' needs to be changed as this is potentially damaging to the fanedit community.

Fixer, I thought you were going to send me some DVDs -- no sign of them. And a friend of mine "ordered" some stuff from your site and he's waiting too. What's up?

Hi Cashiers,

Same here, we done a trade at end of July, sent my disks but got none in reply!

He said he sent them twice but still never got them & here is his reply: As it seems that sending the disks to you isn't working right, I shall be putting the DVD Image Files of the edits you want, online for direct download, within several days.

That was sent on 20/08/06 & still nothing.

Would be good to know if anyone has got any edits off him?

Thanks

I have a feeling that we've been played.

My friend that paid for some edits was told, "I lost your email address." Yet, that email address was used via paypal so it's pretty easy to get!

I'm thinking that there are a lot of excuses going out and not any discs.

Hi,

I feel that I should make a public announcement rather than speak to everyone individually.

First, I must apologise absolutley for the people who have not recieved their edits. All of them have waited patiently, and for that I am very thankful. A few problems (which I would prefer to keep to myself) at my end resulted in these edits being pushed to the back of my mind. I apologise most sincerily.

Second, Everyone who has paid, and not recieved their edits, will be given a full refund within the next few days. If everyone who has ordered edits, and has not recieved them, can please email me at fanfilmfixes@hotmail.co.uk and I shall sort out your refunds.

Calisto, please email me at fanfilmfixes@hotmail.co.uk so we can sort out what edits you want, and FINALLY get them out to you.

Again, I apologise for these events, And I hope you can forgive me.

Regards,

Dan

P.S- I shall be releasing any edits in future, with the PIF system. I shall send 3 copies out (free of charge), and then if they can be sent onwards, everyone can get a copy of the edit, much easier.
