REQ: a program for verification

Does anyone know a program that could extract needed information from a torrent file that could then be turned into a .csv or .sfv file? So... in short - Is it possible to get the checksum info from torrent files?

I hate to load the torrent file to my client when I want to check if my backup it still ok. I need this "feature" for dvd burning from usb-hdd backup >> hdd >> dvdr.
Well I could make my own .csv or .sfv file after the initial download but just wondered If someone already had made a nice program for this.

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but TorrentSpy includes a file verification check.

Yes - I believe that one could be used. Thanks!

"Eunice and her friends" might like to try the perl script torrenttool from Oskar Liljeblad's torrentutils package.
The link to Oskar's homepage isn't working at the moment, but Google has it cached.
I can provide the *.tar.gz file for anyone who can't find it on the 'net.

Or, for the "CLI challenged," TorrentSpy's SHA1 hash checking routine will run just fine under Wine.

BTW, TorrentSpy.exe (the program) isn't affiliated with www.torrentspy.com "The Largest BitTorrent Search Engine."

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…
