Mini-Contest: Legacy Edition Logo - $150

Hey guys...

Yes, I do this stuff for a living and can make my own logo. But I'm approaching burn-out on the LE and want to save my energy for the restoration itself. I know there are at least a couple of pro's here, but whether you do it for a living or not, everyone is welcome to enter. Contest closes July 1, 2006. Winner gets $150 and one of my embroidered Han Shot First long sleeve T's.

Here's the contest: A logo, in vector or high-res raster format, for my Star Wars Legacy Edition restoration. ANH only. NOT COVER ART... just the Logo itself : Star Wars Legacy Edition. Should reflect the "classic" nature of the restoration, but beyond that, it's up to you. Enter as many times as you like.

Post entries here in the thread, and I'll judge them on the 1st.

Could be an easy $150... Good luck!

I went for a simple monochromatic design on this one, so as to be t-shirt friendly. (The original is in vector, so it's fully scalable and easily colorized to your liking.)

For as much as some people claim to hate what Star Wars has become, they sure seem incapable of shutting up about it.

Variation on a theme, this one with a spot of color. Great thing about this one is you can drop the text and make it a stand-alone logo if need be. (Hell, I had already went through the trouble of tracing out that X-wing, so why let it go to waste on just one design?

)

Now that is a striking image. Simple, elegant, and captures the old-school look.

Wow... great start so far, guys! Vector format means it's resolution-independent, like an Illustrator file, versus a raster image, which has a fixed resolution.

Can't wait to see more!!

A slight reworking of my first entry, since I realized those three lines wouldn't translate so well in certain cases, (they tended to bleed together with image-compression).

Also providing a few examples of possible applications.

Great entries, guys... by the way, I wouldn't worry about the effects of image compression. The final artwork will be printed at a top commercial facility from the master files.

That would look quite sweet if the x-wings continued on the back... but now that I think of it, you would have to leave the case open for the full effect.

Mverta do you wanna send me a hi-res capture for this logo? I had to use the jpeg off your website from the "favorite frames" section, but I wanted a logo to stroke the ego of the project a bit.
