Laserdisc players...

Was bored so decided to look for Laserdiscs & players on eBay, and wondered how high the Pioneer CLD-D925 ranks in your eyes.

I did try a search on here as I'm sure they've been discussed before, but I found nothing.

Thoughts please

I had that one a couple of years ago and I was pleased with its performance, can't recall anything bad about it so if you get it for a good price, buy it.

This site has reviews and other information on it, along with many other laserdiscs players. I thought it was a helpful place when I was looking for a laserdisc player.

if you are looking for a LD player, why not get one of the Pioneer "ELITE" series players, like the CLD-79,CLD-95,or the CLD-99,hell even the CLD-52 isnt that bad and it will be cheaper than the other 3.
I have the CLD-79 and love it

The D925 is the player I have.

That and the 2950 were considered the "best" players on the PAL market, but they don't match up to the higher-end NTSC players like the CLD-97 or CLD-99.

I've got a CLD52 and the picture is not that good. I also have a Cld79, which is much better. I would recommend, if you are just wanting a good player for casual viewing, try the CLD 703 or cld704. They were pioneers best non-elite player and have the same video performance as the elite cld79.

I'm going to assume you live in Europe or Australia since you're talking about PAL players. In that case, take Moth3r's advice.

If you want to take a look at some NTSC players though, you can't go wrong with any of the players listed so far.

The absolute best players ever made are the HLD-X0 and HLD-X9. If you can afford one, you should definitely buy one for me.

Don't you mean, "us"?

I've just been presented with the opportunity to purchase a Laserdisc player myself and wondered what the more learned opinion is on the CLD-1750.
