My set does have its flaws, but I specifically wanted to concentrate more on sound quality than video quality, because that is what makes Star Wars great, and also because no other transfer has PCM audio. Something came up a few weeks ago, maybe you could confirm:
the PCM audio on your V1 was apparently recorded from the LD player's analogue output, and there are some reports of digital clipping caused by the input level being too high. Was V2 also recorded over analogue, or is it resampled from a digitally extracted clone of the laserdisc PCM?

Hopefully, once the X0 project is complete, it will put this thread to rest as I'm sure it will be the new standard, and there will be no further disputes as to which is best.
I doubt it, somehow...
Imagine what you could do by taking a colour/gamma corrected DVD, and using the X0 transfer (to fix the SE elements), and one of the DVB captures (to fix certain DVD defects). One day, maybe...
