womble issue

i muxed my m2v and then noticed a slight glitch. considering it takes 10 hours to render I thought I'd try the womble route and ran into an issue.

at 1:25:06 is the end of the clip. then I've inserted a 30 second m2v file to fix the issue I had, then I've got the rest of the movie up to 1:56:43.

I then use womble to create a new m2v file. fine, done, works in powerdvd. when importing it into maestro, it says the file is only 1:25:06 long. ie, womble has not put the correct timestamp on the newly muxed file to the correct length, ergo, can't use the file in maestro, can't master / burn a disc for test.

have I missed a step here?

if the resulting MPEG works in PowerDVD, try importing it again into Womble and render out again (I've not used Womble, so I'm not sure what the actual procedure is. Maybe, now that both MPEGs are together, Womble will rewrite the code correctly?

tried that. didn't do squat.

looks like I'll have to re-render in tmpgenc.

No need to re-encode. Womble has a habit of leaving in b0rked sequence end codes in the output file. Use ReStream to correct the video file, and you should beb able to multiplex correctly.

and this is done how? would that be the gop fixer? done by read + write but without the encode selection box?

Try the built-in GOP fixer in Womble under the tools menu (the button with the wrench). Go to your source stream and fix the GOP time code and PTS errors. See if it detects any errors first, then try to correct them.

Select the option to remove sequence end codes.

However, from what I've been reading, later versions of Womble have this fixed so your problem may lie elsewhere.
