Since we'd actually be watching it in HD when it's broadcast on HDnet, and not an HD downconvert, I think the answer is obvious.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Just to clarify - down converted or not, if someone\'s got an HD rip already (which might be Xvid on their computer in nearly equal quality, or it might be DVD-R depending on what that person prefers), do you think it will make any difference at all to if they would watch it when broadcast? Or do you think it simply would not be a factor?

I just noticed this thread and read through some of the posts. DarkFox, in regard to your comments overall in this thread, my question for you is... why do you care anyway? What is it to you? If you disagree so strongly with the beliefs and practices of this site, then why are you still here? Do you honestly think you're going to change the views of anyone here anyway? It's fine to have firm beliefs on morality as you do, but that doesn't mean you have to go around pushing these views on other people.

Bottom line: If you digagree with the preservation efforts of this site, then don't participate in it, and leave.

There was an actual post here before I deleted the text. I can't believe that I, too, got sucked up into this nonsense. Back to good ol' not reading this thread.

I own the horrendous retail version of Blade Runner (in fact I have a couple legit copies floating around the house I believe) and I recently enjoyed the new dual layer DVD version. I will also buy whatever version is put onto shelves when it receives a proper release.

I don't understand what DarkFox is trying to prove with this thread.... I'm not going to lie to you - I can't read his long-winded froot loop posts, they give me jock itch. Is he trying to say that the possibility of borderline-piracy is making him uncomfortable? Why is he still here if he finds things so objectionable? It's as if he's a self-proclaimed homophobe who has chosen to lather up and parachute head first onto Brokeback Mountain. Now he's getting all crazy with the Warbler, rolling around in some hay, giving his ass up for Oscar nominations.

Hunker down DarkFox,

Alright, I've had enough of this guy's relentless rambling.

I'm 75% sure that DarkFox is DanielB - and I'm itching to use this ban function for the first time. So, on the 25% chance that I'm wrong, I guess he was just unlucky.
